THAN YOU!!!

I am up. I am up. I am up. Terry is not. Terry is not. Terry is not. BUT he will be. We did all of our shipping to the Blanco gallery yesterday and I sent about 6 paintings out to a new collector in Nevada. SO we had a lot of work going out.

Sometimes in life we are faced with some major life changing decisions. Sometimes we don't want to face them and we put them off. EVERY day we face challenges and minor decisions and some of those we do not want to deal with either. Many of us turn to our "mother" or our "best friend" to have a discussion about things. (Goes back to my brother's story about the pubs in the UK and how beneficial they are.) But there is always something that comes up that is even too difficult to put in words. We don't want others that love us to know what anguish is in our hearts and what pulls at our minds in the middle of the night. We do not want to appear vulnerable. We don't want others to know how very alone we feel facing what looms in front of us. We may spend days, even months either avoiding the subject or dwelling on it until we make ourselves sick.

There is not a single one way you can identify someone in this situation. If it is you reading this, my words of love are from Proverbs, and it is my confirmation verse. I quoted it twice yesterday and when I saw it as the verse of the day on Daily Word this morning, I knew I would put it in my blog this morning. God has definitely put this verse in my heart over and over the past two days. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your insight. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths."

Trusting in Him and stepping back and turning it over to him is the only way. We truly all know in our heart the direction we should be going with our decision but are torn by not wanting change in our lives. I am the Queen of Change. I long for a quiet plateau with out it for awhile. Maybe you do too. Why can't things just go on and not change? That would be totally opposite of God's creation. "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1 God so carefully created life and in everything and every animal and every person the intricacies of life and reproduction evolve smoothly with out extra thought. Every season evolves to the next...all apart of timing and the thing we call LIFE.

Take this day my friend and live it in confidence knowing the Lord has a plan for you and your life. Trust in Him. Go forward in His grace with strength to know He walks with you.

Grace,
Laurie

Very strong painting, esp. the way you painted the flowers. Beautiful color complements and composition.

Hello Laurie
I just happened to find your blogsite today by accident when I googled "rely not on your own insight." I am facing a life-changing decision RIGHT NOW and had been on the phone for a couple of hours with my Mom and she quoted this proverb. Right after we hung up I came upon your blog and I was struck by your message. It felt like you wrote it for me. Thank you. I wish we could sit and have a cup of tea. I would appreciate more of your insights right this moment. I look forward to reading more from you.
Grace to you too,
Martha
p.s. I'm an artist too

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
