Last year I painted four sets of these horses...three coming out at you in colors with the thick ridged paint from the palette knife. This is my first set this year to sell. I did one commission set that is mailing out today to the buyer in Illinois.



Have already made my list for today of what must be done AS always. Sometimes with the hubby involved it may not occur as I hoped! We went to pick up wheels for the boat and trailer out in Justin yesterday afternoon. We left at three, we made it out there about six and we got home about ten. There were many stops in between, but the boats are home. Today we have to return unused items for trying to get the boats. Only the Lord brought those boats home on angel wings.

Angel wings...humm, that is a pretty cool thought. I know my mom used to say something about letting God drive the car, but I always envisioned angels flying around it as I drove down the street. Even as a newly driving 16 years old, I took my angels with me every time I climbed in that Plymouth Sports Fury. Can you conjure that up in your mind? Do you believe God places angels in our lives today? I do. I have seen them appear with in folks in my life and know for certain they were sent to me. Angels are ministering spirits. They are woven all through the bible. I do not want to jump into the discussion of the creation of angels, or the good angels and the bad angels, I just want you to think about "angels" in your life. Has your life been touched by an angel?

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...

By definition:   Space is an element of art; space refers to distances or areas around, between or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or negative (black or dark), open or closed, shallow or deep and two-dimensional or three-dimensional. Sometimes space isn't actually within a piece, but the illusion of it is. With little ones we always have donut day when I teach space...but we cannot do that over the internet.  So I took up my pencil and looked around the studio. I spotted first one of my stools in the studio... so I quickly shaded in the space around it.  Then the coffee cup holding my hot tea.... and then just a jack that was sitting on the table. (More of my work further down in the blog.) So how can you turn this into art that it works in a composition? Here is an example by M C Esher.  ...
