Slashing bolts of lightening are cut only by booming thunder shaking the windows. Sleep escapes me at this moment accompanied by a good sinus headache waiting for the cold front to push through today. No heat will be in the house for days again. Not much more comment from me as I am in shock facing another week from hell with cold house and trying to work. In shock that this is Tuesday and work could have started on this last Friday.

The past five days have been a total beat down for this family. We are traveling through uncharted territory and our faith to sustain us. It is from these times in our lives we are truly growing stronger. Many times in life our faith is tested. I am there right now. I want to ask why but know there will not be an answer. I want to ask for guidance and detour signs, but I know they may not appear. I remain confident that the Lord's hand is in our lives and he will provide for each of us as we walk this new path.

Hi Laurie, I am saddened to hear about your heat as I have been cold with heat the last two weeks over here outside Ft. Worth. I hope your gets fixed soon for you. I really just wanted to say how much I like today's horse. It looks like a real stretch from where you've been and has lots of excitement in it. Do some more! Thanks for sharing this one. Keep up the good cheer and paint the warmth around you.

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...

Line Shape Form Space Frank Lloyd Wright said:      "Space is the Breath of Art." By definition:   Space is an element of art; space refers to distances or areas around, between or within components of a piece. Space can be positive (white or light) or negative (black or dark), open or closed, shallow or deep and two-dimensional or three-dimensional. Sometimes space isn't actually within a piece, but the illusion of it is. With little ones we always have donut day when I teach space...but we cannot do that over the internet.  So I took up my pencil and looked around the studio. I spotted first one of my stools in the studio... so I quickly shaded in the space around it.  Then the coffee cup holding my hot tea.... and then just a jack that was sitting on the table. (More of my work further down in the blog.) So how can you turn this into art that it works in a composition? Here is an example by M C Esher.  ...
