Why do I feel I am taking steps backwards instead of forwards? If it were not for Morgan I would be days behind. Terry is living in a dimension where I can't find him. Last night he told me when he got home from work he would put the stove in so I could start cooking. Didn't happen. This morning he was suppose to take two boxes to fedex that must arrive before Christmas and they are still here on the table. That incurs two more additional hours into my day that I do not have to drive out to FEDEX at noon today. I am literally only painting in the wee hours of the night and falling into bed just to rise and get my book work done in the mornings before the crews arrive. The maturity of my youngest totally blows me away right now. He has been working non stop to get this house livable. I know about three years ago I was educated to know that some part of the brain in the male does not develop until age 26. Well Morgan will be 27 in January and I think he finally crossed over where that area is developed. I can't help but wonder if it degenerates after age 55, hence the loss of Terry to be focused. Humm, that makes life with the male interesting if they are only accountable for less than 20 years of their life. Women, gee, we have to stick together or the world might fall apart! LOL...only by the grace of God of course. That MUST be why he had to create woman. Man was a bit dysfunctional so God had to create that help mate to finish everything up and keep the world spinning in the right direction.
I bought a tree yesterday. A fake tree. We have normally had the replantable kind or real dead deal. On the new floors I decided this year we would have to go plastic green instead of green green. Was on sale, so that part was wonderful. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow we might get it up. Billie has committed to help with this project, although she pulled strongly for the replantable tree. I assured her we would use this plastic one as long as we lived here and then I would recycle it.
The word today RECYCLE.
re·cy·cle (r-skl)
tr.v. re·cy·cled, re·cy·cling, re·cy·cles
1. To put or pass through a cycle again, as for further treatment.
2. To start a different cycle in.
3.
a. To extract useful materials from (garbage or waste).
b. To extract and reuse (useful substances found in waste).
4.
a. To use again, especially to reprocess: recycle aluminum cans; recycle old jokes.
b. To recondition and adapt to a new use or function: recycling old warehouses as condominiums.
WOAW....to put or pass through a cycle again. Here we are facing Christmas. We are cycling again through the religious calendar through the season of advent. Look to definition two and start a NEW different cycle this year. Take the joy with you through the next year. Joy is in the moment. JOY Is in ALL moments. Take the time to appreciate it and recognize it and celebrate it. From the beauty of this season extract and reuse the joy and love in your daily life. Pass it on to others. Use it again and again. Recondition your thoughts and keep the Joy upfront this next year. RECYCLE and pass on the JOY.
Shalom,
Laurie
“In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.” Luke 2:1, 4-5
