BRRR, continues to be cold in the mornings. I don't know if I will walk this morning or do my dance DVD! Says it is 43 outside. I usually draw the line at 48 or 50 for walking.
Today I will only work on some small pieces. I have to finish some other house business first. This large piece I did last week. Not sure what I will do with it, send it to one of the galleries of sell it from here. Just one of those that emerged from deep with in.
New opportunities seem to crop up in different directions. I really enjoy the calls out of nowhere that God seems to bring into my life and I meet a new family wanting art. It is such an honor to paint for families and know my work is in their home. The Lord nudges us all along in our journeys here. Often we cling to the past not wanting to move on, but we must, having faith that He knows the direction we are traveling. It does not always mean easy street or no pain, it simply means movement and growth from what we encounter on the way. Lessons to be learned and shared with others on the journey.
Paddy ( the two year old Male Kerry Blue Terrier) was determined to journey last night. Terry and I returned from Home Depot about seven thirty. The dogs were still outside and I had gone into the house through the garage and thought Terry was right behind me. I opened the back door to walk out on the porch and the dogs came roaring through the door before I could stop them. Paddy continued right out the garage door and into the world. Annie will always come back home. Paddy has no clue about coming home. He is a typical male that gets lost with out a female giving directions. I grabbed the big flashlight spotlight and my keys and took off in my puttering diesel Passat. I circled our circle listening (with the windows down) for barking dogs. I then expanded my search over past eighth street to seventh Street...and I drove with my bright lights on. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted him tearing after a cat...and then circling back to that yard sniffing and circling. I opened the car door and he made a swing by and then took off running further down the street. I was falling into despair realizing I needed to return home for Terry; it would take both of us to capture him...and suddenly he ran up to the car door and jumped in. I don't think Paddy learned any lessons, but I did. ALWAYS close the garage door behind me coming into the house!
Shalom,
Laurie
