THE FOURTH OF JULY! Celebrate the freedom and give thanks to the Lord!

This painting I finished this week on Monday. It is deeply moving with the background of blues and aquas contrasted by the strength and combination of colors used in the horse. It is a LARGE canvas, 30 x 40 and will frame out at 42 X 52 inches. I have this one hanging in my living room to dry! Today will find me hopefully dusting at my mom's. She put in new wood floors and they finished up last night. My daughter and her husband have volunteered to come help as well. Terry returned to work today, so he will be exhausted this afternoon when he gets home.

Last year at this time we were boarding a flight home from New York and the art show in Geneva NY. This year my show opens on the 14th and I do not think I will be there. My neck is still pretty bad and I cannot envision 3 hours on a mini American Eagle with my long legs stuffed into the small seats. PLUS the air travel right now is totally unreliable!

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top.
