A Painting A Day

Good morning. It is Wednesday and that is a busy painting day in the studio. Getting this sweet painting posted this morning that I completed this week. It is VERY VERY thick palette knife paint creating this gorgeous composition. Working on a smaller canvas was a challenge, but I am pleased with the results~!

My two oldest are gathering in Houston for their Dad's open heart surgery today, so my prayers are very focused on his progress and their safe traveling. My father has been through this surgery (by-pass) and it seems to change folks quite a bit ~ personality wise. Currently I stand in total admiration of my mother and her complete unwavering dedication to my own father as he faces many changes and challenges of aging. She is in my heart and prayers 24/7.

Here's to a good hump day for everyone! The peace of God fortifies my thoughts and actions today.

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top.
