A Painting a Day


Good MONDAY morning! WE are up and it is only seven in the morning. Today the chimney man is coming out. We are considering a stove insert into our fireplace to heat our home. Today is also wrapping and shipping day for me as well and Terry and I are dragging in the boxes and the bubble wrap to mail out about 10 paintings today. We are eagerly awaiting a handy tool from Andy Whitehead to help with boxing in the future. It will reduce my need for bubble wrap and hopefully save my buyers some money for shipping.

The painting I have posted is a small beauty. Painted on smoothly sanded masonite, the colors are true and vivid in person. It is the perfect little painting to fit a niche in the home or to really frame with a wide gold frame and dress up a study or den. Currently it is on auction for this week. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did.
