Savage Garden was playing and I was rocking at the easel when this beauty came to light. I started with a gentle white palette in the background broken with shadows of purple and blues. As the horse began to form the colors became vivid. With white already established in the background, I had to work with blending colors, or wait until it dries to repaint. I took the chance and shot pictures as I went along. I put them in photo shop and them look at their mirror images to gauge where I am in the painting. It was LATE or should I say early this morning when I finished this baby.
I heard the dogs from the studio and just put them out and discovered a slight misty rain...won't last long but at least I can pretend for a few minutes that it is raining outside~
