Heart to Heart

There is no place beyond God's love.  It is so easy to ignore or forget the fact that His grace is bestowed on to all of us unconditionally without any request on our part.  Unlike the need we have to please others to be included in their 'grace' or circle....God does not require that of us.  We do not have to do anything to be worthy of His grace, we must only open our heart to Him to feel it.  God is always eager for us to come to Him.

Earthly relationships seem to be filled with the need to please or seek the acceptance of others. God keeps it all free... heart to heart. There are no agendas required, no obstacle course to run, nothing to prove or do to win His acceptance.  He loves you heart to heart just as you are.

Terry made my Valentines Day pretty special yesterday.  It was a long stress filled weekend in Dallas with family; dinner out with friends last night soothed away the worries. Gathered at our Valentine's table were Sheriff Paul and Vicki (our high school friends), the Mayor and his lovely wife, and our "western dance instructor" the lake Sheriff JR and his wife Kelly.  It was laughter, stories, wine, love and friendship along with a spectacular dinner.  I had chicken but everyone else had prime rib cooked various degrees. Chocolate covered strawberries finished it all off.

Each woman at the table was given a beautiful single red rose.  Heart to Heart.

When others try to steal your joy, keep your eyes focused on His love... He is with you Heart to Heart.  Thank you God, for your gift of grace and your unconditional love.  I remain in your loving care.

The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
