Short blog this morning. Hope to paint today. Going to have breakfast and try to get in there and warm up those brushes and paint.

I sewed the kitchen curtains last night, hanging the last one about nine, but had more computer work to do until almost eleven.  I promised myself today to stay AWAY from this machine...

I am waiting on an order of canvas from Rupen at www.Canvasplace.com.  He is always good about getting it to me quickly...but I am ready today and it will not be here until next week.  My thoughts are scrambling trying to remember everything.  My official Birthday Week starts Sunday.  Terry lets me have a full Birthday week the week of my birthday.  I get to pick and chose what I do and don't want to do, including cleaning the bathroom.

Oh the Artists of Texas show opens this next week and I just received my book on the show and the artists in it.  WOW it is a good book, available at LULU.  Also the calendar is there as well.
If you can attend the reception Nov 6th in Dallas, I would LOVE to meet you.

I just realized I didn't post the link to Ben's Memorial Page to my blog.  Terry's dad was a wonderful man. He brought so much love and sunlight into everyone's life and he is so missed.  If you knew him, here is the link to his Lung Association Donation page.  He died from a lung disease that crept into his lungs in his early 80's.  The doctor said they do not know the rhyme or reason but it happens to a small percentage of the population.  We truly miss his physical presence in our lives, but continue to rejoice in the memories and the legacy of laughter and love that he left us.

“For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that was preached to you.”- 1 Peter 1:24-25

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
