It is near 80 degrees outside and last week we were down at 2 degrees. The whimsical bright colors and the brilliant sky make each horse stand strong in position at the stream they stopped to drink. True heavy palette knife with very thick strokes of paint.   My painted ponies are alive with color and wide knife strokes!  Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." I have a passion for color and a strong eye for composition. This piece was done in 'one paint', in other words, no painting over it.  I rather liked the approach even today looking backwards.  1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." This powerful painting  of two horses standing in the winter wind was 'not conforming' when it began as a bear horizontally.  An artist just knows when something is not right. For me it is at that point I have to trust in God and in the Spirit within me to find a new path. The original painting had a lot of brown in it and was horizontal not vertical. Good morning. ..  We have just a few hours before COLD arrives again here in North Texas. By Wed temps will be below freezing at night and close to zero or below for a 'feels like'.  We have loaded the bird feeders and will keep an eye on them. We had close to fifty birds earlier snacking away at our full feeders. Teaching Children at a younger age will actually help them be a better grown person later. Take a second glance at the children in your family.
