A Painting a Day

Bid here.

It is cool and clear outside! I will enjoy walking later! Yesterday was busy, I was working in the studio preparing five paintings for their trip to Rockwall to the new store over there that has invited my work in! Horses of course! I pulled the APPY Three from Auction because it was decided I would do a continual series just for that store of those style paintings! From that we will do a book and a calendar and proceeds can benefit horse rescue! Texas Tach Exchange is the name of the store and the owner Kiki Teague is incredible, as is her store. The Spirit fills and spills out from every direction and there is a peace with in that is undeniable.

I really look forward to working with Kiki. I fell in love with Rockwall, and Terry felt the warmth of the bustling growing town as well. I look forward to visiting again.

I met up with another buyer at my mom's home to deliver a painting...it was a rooster for the man in her life! She too was remarkable and filled with grace. I know the rooster is going to Love his new home! Got to visit with my parents while Terry had a glass of port. We then took off for Whole Foods to shop and had a picnic dinner in the car driving back across town - actually through eight towns before arriving home. It was a long day. Rockwall is EAST of Dallas and we live north west of Ft Worth.

The painting I listed has the beautiful colors of the early morning yesterday...The softness of the foggy haze as the sun came up! I decided it would make a nice backdrop on a painting and it turned out restful!

Well today is painting and cleaning...but I think I will paint first!

Grace to all,

Laurie

“There in heaven a door stood open! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.’”—Revelation 4:1

Post note: Yesterday a series of events has led Terry and I to thoughts of moving from Justin. We had purchased this home in a bind last year when our large home sold suddenly. This was around the corner and we thought it might work...but is entirely TOO small. (from 3500 sq ft to 1800 sq ft.) I knew it was a sign when our ECO pest control man who has serviced us for years at both places came in and looked me in the eye and said, "you really need more space." ( he couldn't even get in my studio to spray around the windows! LOL)
Then at the credit union, Vicki, an old friend and our loan officer, greeted me with a hug telling me I needed to move in closer where folks could visit my studio and buy work. The remark came with no prompting from me. She had just spent time going through my blog and seeing all my art work. (Justin Tex is not on a path anywhere!) Then the visit to Rockwall and seeing a town that is alive and caring about itself...Justin TX is not high on that point at all! So, it got us talking, but we are both NOT NOT NOT wanting to pack and move. After seeing the Daily Word thought today, it was based on closing doors and opening new ones and how sometimes we have to close a door in faith and we find the sudden draft as a door opens before us sending the old one shut. I am not sure I am ready for this, but will be in prayer continually as we decide. Pray for us!

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
