SOLD The process above was going from the primed acrylic canvas to find the motion or energy behind the horse for this horse painting. Again this is a similar paint to a horse from last year as a gift of love for someone that loved that original painting. The challenge is always to capture a new spirit with a different approach so you are witnessing a different way to get to the end... second layering of acrylic and then the oils come out on the bottom images... with a palette knife and NO IMPASTO to dilute the paint.  Yes it takes many many more tubes to do this, but the end effect is worth it.
