When something is not working, walk away to get a fresh perspective and then back to work. Makes me wonder if God thinks about us in that way sometimes. We tend to be rather self destructive most of the time. We often don't need others doing things to us, we do it to ourselves. God probably watches shaking his head as things develop in our life as we forget to go to Him in prayer. We are in need of His guidance and wisdom to make our decisions in life. Here is a slide show from our trip! We are still so pleased with the staff and the care at the VA home in Bonham. The folks that work there take such good care of their patients. It was a good move for good care of my dad. My Dad was pretty adamant yesterday that it was time to retire. I know this is so difficult for him as he has times he is frightened not knowing where he is in his confusion. He still recognizes my mom for sure, and did recognize my younger brother Kirk in a picture out of the blue, but did not know my name or my brother's name yesterday. As I choke back tears I know he knows my heart. I know his heart knows my heart and nothing, not even death will ever destroy that. I may have to think boy next time. We have been calling the baby TINK so we have a name for praying about and talking to. Tink is short for TINKERBELL if it is a girl, and sTinker if it is a boy. It is finally beginning to feel like fall. I used to anticipate fall and eagerly await it day after day in the late Indian Summers we get here in Texas. Unfortunately, by doing that I missed a whole lot of what was there in my life that day. I am one of THOSE people. One of those that tries to fix everything for everyone so everyone's life is good...so I look ahead for pitfalls and try and avoid the worst ones when possible. As I have gotten older I recognize the fault with this. God puts those pitfalls there for a reason. Pitfalls for me and for those I love. AND, I am spending so much time trying to look ahead that I am missing things right here, right now. We cannot get stronger with out these. It was a wild ride home....we went a new way in the dark...and remember that AFTER you watch the slide show! Last night on the way home from Marble Falls, we decided to take the back way home. We had done it quite often when Morgan was in school at ST Edwards in Austin, but that was 4 or 5 years ago. We left around 5:30 and headed north on the Highway. We truly enjoyed the small towns we drove through as well as the gorgeous sunset to the west. We drove into Hico around seven and it was growing dark. We stopped to grab a snack for the car and headed out but I think we went the wrong direction. Terry had studied the map but we missed a quick turn turn to cut out about 15 miles and we suddenly were heading into Stephenville and I knew we were NOT suppose to be there at all. We eventua

At least we did sleep last night sort of...they had a king room but the location was by that noisy ice machine that kept us awake the last time we stayed here. This is a huge resort. Problem this weekend which we did not anticipate because of Texas OU weekend, is there are four wedding parties here. This resort is packed. They found us a quiet room on the seventh floor, water front view, very nice, but only two double beds. not even queen. I think it is like the second side of a suite or something. So we started out on two beds, and of course after all these years of marriage, that didn't work. So we crammed together on one bed. I had the smaller side. The opening at Patina last night was wonderful.
