'Red Horse' Equine Art Texas Horse Painter Daily Horse Oil Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Justus Pace

'Horse of Red' 20 x 30 inches  Oil on Canvas SOLD ALREADY! Thank you. Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting:  The background does not show up well here at all...but it is really pretty in warm blacks fading into beautiful periwinkles and blues.  The horse is solid with the scraping and layering. He almost looks texturally real in person. The Thought:  Today I am still with my granddaughter enjoying her soft smells and her sticky fingers from learning to feed herself. I love it. Best Christmas Present ever. I often sit rocking her with the bible in my hands ,  reading to her from the bible. She is so relaxed leaning back against my chest, her hands on my arms, and although I know she does not understand what I read, I believe fully she feels it. The energy from His word passing through me to her. I encourage you to spend a little more time in your bible this new year and

It is a wonderful story about four black horses.  One day I will share more about it in a few months, so stay tuned.  On the background is the score from his new Opera performed I believe recently in Delaware.  I was the blessed artist to receive a CD of the opera and a DVD of the performance. Here is the review: Michael Dutka’s opera Black Horses and The Stronger were commissioned by OperaDelaware, and performed at Saints Andrew and Matthew Episcopal Church. A winning array of singers handled Dutka’s daunting scores with ease. In Black Horses, soprano Elizabeth Zell sang beautifully and clearly the libre

'Tom's New Roses' 20 x 24 inches  Oil on Canvas SOLD Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting: Another oldie from 2005 that is sold. It was inspired by our friend Tom's beautiful back yard in Flower Mound Texas. The soup was all organic too.  Thick rich tomato base with fresh asparagus, fresh snap green beans, fresh corn cut off the cobs, fresh cut up tomatoes, fresh onion, celery, orange bell pepper and carrots... then some wonderful center cut angus beef that Terry cut into one inch cubes, floured and sauted in olive oil.  We will eat this for days! Then came the fun. Crystal has never done Christmas cookies, icing and decorating

Laurie  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2009 The Painting:  This is the second in the mini series I am doing.  Again a perfect stocking stuffer for your equine lover. The Thought:  With this season of advent I am challenging you to renew the SPIRIT and enrich your life.  Every year at the end of the year we all begin thinking about New Year's Resolutions.  I do not even want to go there.   Give some thought as to how you can renew the Spirit in your life.    You might think about praying a bit more and talking and walking with God.  Do it when you are not distracted...when things are calm. If the weather allows, try walking outside and surround yourself with God's creation. I guarantee you will be calmer and more rested when you are done. Yesterday I continued on with my calmness and my moment by moment talks with God.  Every single time I began to stress

Email me if you are interested. The Thought :  I had one of THOSE dreams last nigh t..the kind where you are falling and you wake suddenly.  It was only about two hours into my sleep cycle and very unusual for me to dream things like that. I googled it on the internet and was surprised by some of what I read and some I was not surprised by.  It said it was pretty common to have dreams like this when your life is undergoing changes and there is much outside stress you cannot control.  I remember writing about that last week, and how a friend from PA emailed me some thoughts that made me adjust my life.   The google info also said this was common for people to dream of falling if they were fighting for control with God.  Interesting.  The way it came down in the dr

The Thought:  Yesterday I travel with my mom to visit my Dad .  I avoided the major freeways and we drove up through a direct street going north and took a risk and took off down another road just taking a guess to go east. We missed it one road too soon but veered off to the north and picked up the right road and traveled through some gorgeous Texas countryside.  Serious horse farms, hall bales and wonderful old farm houses just bursting with grazing cattle and gardens still producing for winter. I told my mom with all our travels each year from Dallas to St Louis , several times a year... I always wanted to take off down one
