I have been drinking it for a week now.   It is not the high in fiber drink but the high in protein drink.  24 grams in one shake. Unfortunately I cannot drink a whole shake...so I am only in taking 12-14 grams.  I mix up about one scoop with a banana and some fresh blueberries.  I put in my tablespoon of my Carlson Lemon Fish Oil (NO taste or aftertaste or burping) and my two drops of Carlson Vit D and I am set. I was struggling with the yogurt every morning with my lactose intolerance and I am not a heavy breakfast eater at all. I use to be, but not now. This really has mad

Really, who are you?  Think about it for a few moments. If you were going to guess how people view you, who are you?  Our view of our self is NOT what others actually see.  What do they see? You are a pure reflection of your thoughts. They actually affect your facial expressions, your mannerisms and your speech. So who are you?   You are a product of your thinking... describe yourself by describing how you think.     "I am a rose colored glasses person. Negativity is not my way."   Hey wait I say it is not there, BUT it is there.  WHY?  Because I have negative thoughts through out the day.  I worry and I think of things that I should not dwell on. Even though I do not describe myself that way... that is how people see me if they are aroun

The hardest for me is facing a challenging decision I know must be made and not wanting to deal with it.  Avoiding it as long as I can truly makes it seem worse than it is.  That inner voice has already answered me with what needs to be, but often my ear is turned away. I am overwhelmed with trying to tie in together the last things I need for the workshop as well as making sure I have everything submitted to Mirada and Western Art Collector.  In the midst of this o

Partner Midnight Dance Abstract Horse Painting by Texas Equine Artist Laurie Pace, Bending in the wind of God.

Partner Midnight Dance 20 x 20 Acrylic on Canva s        This was painted similar to a piece I did last year with a single horse in it. Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2011   One of those mornings... When you wake up at four a.m. and cannot go back to sleep.  I chose to tiptoe out of the bedroom early this morning and work on my backlog of computer things.  The goal was to get it done so I would have time to walk this morning. We walked yesterday about two miles... about an hour walk around the lake shore drive by us. It was cool with the wind blowing but still feeling warm at near seventy degrees. What drew my attention was the symphony of the trees. Here at the lake we have tall pine trees, short oak trees and probably at least 30 different species of trees.  S

We must have had 8-10 inches of snow. It is a big thing in this area of Texas to even get one inch a year, so to get a full day of snow and have this much on the ground and it is in the mid twenties outside... wahoo, time to build a snowman... HONEY are you awake yet?   Laurie “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:19-21

Even using your IPhone for traffic maps showing accidents etc, things can change in a blink of a second.   In life I believe we all have plans and goals. Yesterday when I worked on this one, I had another one on the second easel.   I worked on it too. Yesterday was an 18 hour paint day.  I am tired still this morning.  The second canvas was scrapped twice.  My record is three times, but I have a ton of paint scrapped off that must go into other paintings.  I do not waste paint ever.  Some of my best pieces are from scrapped paint. I get tired thinking about it and I have had some sleep last night. More travel in the next few days as well... What did I learn yesterday? That another family must have died in a wreck on I30 traveling east into Dallas. There were five new white crosses with names and flowers on the right side of the road going into Sulphur Springs.   Terry and I prayed together as we saw the new crosses and I could only read one name as we whizzed by at 65...it was a little boys name on the cross.  This accident wiped out an entire family. Made us stop and think how this custom has grown

I have learned by experience when I feed the fish, the turtles come.... their little heads peeping up over the surface of the water like a submarine slicing through the water.. .but the body is more cumbersome and more round than a submarine. Proven fact, they move faster in water than on dry land. Both the turtles and the submarines. I just g

The Thought: We made several trips to the neighborhood work area. Once every month or two they bring in a dumpster and you can load it with anything but brush or trees or grass.  It is here about a week and then it goes away until the next time.  We happened to notice there was a sign up that said DUMPSTER is here.  We have truly been working hard the past few days emptying the stuff left by the prior owner and finishing up and sorting the rest of our stuff too.  Terry has made three runs so far and we will go once more this afternoon.    The men that work the yard here in the neighborhood have one of the digger machines with the scooper on it. It is a tall one.  What they do is as the dumpster fills up, they sprinkle smell good on it and use that digger as a masher, mashing al

Sunset Herd Equine Oil Abstract Horse ART Daily Painting by Texas Artist Laurie pace

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: This baby will go to live in Missouri...my home state, also known as the 'Show Me' State. The Thought: Last night Terry and I were sitting outside on the swing about 8:30 p.m.  That is when the symphony of frogs begins each night and Paddy the dog begins to freak out.   I noticed last night that the Old Bull Frog starts the evening out with a few low croaks.  Then the older frogs all begin their part in the music. This lasts about five minutes and they get totally quiet and the tiny frogs begin their chirping.  This continues in repetition for the entire night.  After those baby frogs sing... total silence. Then Old Bull Frog croaks three times and immediately the old frogs begin to sing...and lastly the tiny frogs. Such magnificence is from the Almighty and only He is the creator of this chorus.

The Thought: Yesterday Terry and I drove into Dallas for a wedding shower for Justin and Tara. They do have a website:  Taraandjustin.info  The shower was wonderful and we met many of her parents dearest and nearest friends and share refreshments and laughter and love as she opened many beautiful gifts.   My favorite is my mother's special gift of giving Newly Weds an empty vase called the Forgiveness Vase.  She wrote a special poem for it and inserted it in the vase.   The vase is to be filled with flowers whenever one partner or the other needs to say t
