Steve asked me to ship this one to him at Mirada and I did. Made it happen for him. I had to send it rolled because it was so large. I am trying to remember but thinking it as 6 ft tall and maybe 5 ft wide, or four and a half feet wide. I did the painting in acrylic because of his time schedule for wanting it hanging.  This painting began a process for me that then carried on

It was a perfect spot for me to wander with my camera and snap pictures of families together, children playing and lots of games and competition as well as tables overflowing with food. When I work I pray the  joy of God  is expressed through my work.  Whatever I am painting, I want to share that happiness with those viewing my work.   Often while working I stop and take pictures and look at the images in Photoshop in reverse to know

Sold ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Follow me on Facebook           Sign up for my monthly studio newsletter. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I paint these small landscapes I have this urge to escape to where the water is as vivid as the sky at sunset.  This is one of my favorite tiny  landscape paintings .  They always tell you when you are stressed to try and envision some place in your head and mind where it is all good...all peace and beauty.  It is like a focus point to escape whatever is stressing you.   I find that  prayer  helps me be calm.  Sometimes it really takes its toll before I realize I do not need to feed into the chaos around me or the entanglements.  I have that choice.

It was late at night when I ventured back into the studio to paint. You can tell by this image that I was working by light only.  I began to pull some of my neutral grays throughout and began to 'feel' a pattern come to front as I went next to paynes gray.  Then I came in and knifed in the whites allo
