ORIGINAL THREE ~ Abstract Horse Art by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 27 inches Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home Click here to contact me to purchase this painting or talk about commission work. Friday dawns and by noon we will know if we will have new house. We were accepted for our contract offer on the modern house that Stacey found for us, but it is an AS IS price. We have Butch, our super star inspector hitting the place at nine this morning. As long as it is stable we will go ahead with the purchase. Should be moved in by the second weekend in December. This is the front of the house. This is an enclosed patio area with skylights across it. It is heated and cooled. I think they called it a Florida Room! I call it a painting room. The Light is FABULOUS. This is the dining room with a side look into that same Florida room... This is the master bath dressing area...with circular stairs up to another painting area...a loft that over looks that same Florida
JACKSON HOLE TWO ~ Abstract Horse Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 24 inches Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home Saturday dawns but this body has been up for four hours. I was working on the book I started three years ago. Actually there are three books done and I am doing my reviewing and rewriting. Once we are moved I will be blogging parts of it to you but will let you know where and when at a later date. This painting is an acrylic painting with the combo of using TAR with the paint to create a thick substance. This is used in the mane and the tail and surrounding the horse with color. Today I am shooting my kids. Yeah, that is what I said, SHOOTING THEM! With my camera. They are heading down to Nacogdoches to celebrate their grandfather's 90th birthday and I am doing some pictures of them together and will make prints on the big printer. Hopefully Stacey will get it framed! MAYBE I will post it tomorrow for you to see my grown angels. THEN I am h
HAUNTED REDS ONE ~ Abstract Horse Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 27 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home SOLD SOLD SOLD on Daily Painters! Thank you! Contact me for pricing or commission work. G raphics O ne D esign I promised the second half today and here it is! Continuation of blues and deep rich reds contrasted with the solid yellow golds. Isn't that what our life is like? Think about all the energy in your life. Some is positive and some is negative. Our own frame of mind dictates how we view what is happening around us and to us. Have you ever taken care of someone that was sick and very grumbly? No matter what you did to help them or make them comfortable they spewed out biting words or complaints non stop. Man is not with out emotion. God made us in His image, so God is not with out emotion either. I am sure his heart cries when we run off on tangents that are self destructive. He wants the best for us and that is what he provides.
Haunted Reds Two ~ Equine Horse Abstract Art by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 27 inches Oil on Canvas Contemporary Art for your Home. SOLD SOLD SOLD on Daily Painters! Thank you! There are two paintings in this series and they would look wonderful bought and hung together. The bottom pictures shows them hung together. The colors literally run from one to the other engaging and blending. This is one of my favorite approaches to painting! Tomorrow I will post the second half of this series. Haunted Reds Two. We were at Fed Ex yesterday visiting with Pam as I shipped things out. We were talking about balance in our lives. God provides so much for us all the time. BUT, do you hear yourself when you are tired....if something is not wrong with things in the house, it is your spouse that is not fixing them; or your neighbor has left things out you don't want to see; or something is off with one of your children, and if it is not your children it is your parents; Or something is happening
AGGRAVATING ITCH ~ Horse Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 4 x 6 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home Good Thursday morning. I did two small pieces yesterday and this is one. I only wish I could photograph it better, hard to get this small guys with out shine. His detail is actually pretty good, you just can't see it! Check out two more blogs up. They are new magazines that I am helping with as a visiting writer...both are geared to the west. She's Out West Magazine and Open Range Magazine . My artwork will be featured in the first edition of She's Out West! You might want to order that issue at least, but I know their subscription rates are good. Open Range is on it's third publication and She's Out West will premier this December. Do you feel your divine potential is a natural way of life for you? That is a deep question. Are you doing/working at something that feeds you back to life...nourishing you and satisfying you? God ha
SEASONS OF LIFE ~ Wild Life Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 X 36 inches Oil on Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home AVAILABLE AT THE RARE GALLERY ~ JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING. Saturday morning finds me in the studio. I will be working on my pieces for the SR Gallery in Hong Kong. That is my weekend of painting! This piece above is for the RARE GALLERY in Jackson Hole Wyoming. It is piles of layers of color catching the sunlight in the field with grazing buffalo. Buffalo almost disappeared when the white man took over the west from the Indians. It is simply delightful to see buffalo grazing today....be it here in Texas on a local ranch or in Colorado or the deep west. Take a deep breath this morning and allow the grace of the Lord to fill your lungs and spread through out your body. If you sit quietly and deep breath through about ten breaths, you will find yourself rested as if you napped and the rest you feel with in is His Grace sapping out the tension, the worries and the stress.
Buffalo Pull ~ Wildlife Art by Laurie Justus Pace 22 x 28 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home SOLD It is early. Terry was not sleeping well and woke me at three....so now it is almost four thirty and he is snoring away and I am wide awake. Figure it was a good time to blog. He worked physically too hard yesterday moving heavy refrigeration equipment at his dad's house. I am concerned he has hurt himself. The house is under contract and we have but 11 days to finish cleaning out the remainder of the garage. Our second concern is his dad working over there too much as well. I believe Terry is way over tired. This is a buffalo pull with oils. Painted from pictures I took this summer. Painted with the same patterns of pulling the paint and finding what flows from the set up. Somehow that seems to be life as well...so much happening and pulling around us and since we have such little control, we have to make life out of what is around us. There are sea
ALIKE MINDS ~ Contemporary Horses by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 24 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Good Thursday Morning to you. I commented to Terry I was beginning to feel my age as I got up this morning. We cleaned out half the garage last night because of trash pick up today and I certainly could feel it when we got up at five thirty. We have a Fire Inspection next week for our CPS certification. NO rubbish allowed. Not sure what they will say with all my cardboard for shipping my work. This painting is in Wyoming at the Shooting Stars Gallery, but I also have it listed on a new internet site for my work. Patrick at www.eleganthorsepictures.com is now exclusively carrying my giclees and prints and low low price posters. (Which I do sign!) They are all printed here, signed and mailed from my studio. My page on this site is www.eleganthorsepictures.com/laurie-pace.html . PLEASE check it out. You might find some good prices for Christmas gifts, birthdays or just for yourself
Florida Brown Longhorn, Commission Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 48 x 72 inches Oil on Canvas CONTEMPORARY ART FOR YOUR HOME Well, it is almost done. Back and forth with Hilary in Florida yesterday from yellows and marigolds to tans and buttercreams...I am hoping it is dry by Christmas...but it knocked the socks off all the art moms browsing through yesterday. One of the students named it Tex! Old Tex is going to live in Florida. Hilary and I are debating on HOW to ship it. I want to let it dry and then take it off the stretchers and mail it. She would like it to stay together and is trying to figure it out how else to get it there. I was giggling when she said she would drive over to pick it up. Well it fits flat on the bottom of my truck bed, but ....not sure about an suv. Maybe a big van! What a commotion yesterday during art class. Careflight landed at the church across the side road from us. The kids were in a tizzy with the noise. Outside we found an ambulance waitin
