This was painted three years ago and was similar to a painting done ten years ago. Movement and affection were the emotions painted by knife on the canvas. It speaks of peace and rest and abiding love.  "I will surely bless you and make your descendant

Not until I saw all your colors did I realize that mine had faded. not until I heard your dreams, did I realize that I was still sleeping. And not until I experienced my life with you, did I realize that I was barely breathing.  Suzy Kassem, Rise up and Salute the Sun: The Writings of Suzy Kassem. This double panel was painted in about 2005 and still remains one of my favorite. Always working in odd numbers, the horses number 9. All total 18 with the reflections. Filled with peace and my favorite colors, I could see something similar to this piece painted on a very large scale... maybe 12 feet wide.  I want to float on the water with them... to even swim wi

She sold quickly to a couple from New York.  There are a few paintings that leave a memory of the actual painting and this is one of them.   "You shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it, all that is in it and its livestock - with the edge of the sword. The order varies for any given year." Paul Sweeney Twenty-six years... but we have known each other 54 years. That is a long relationship. We sort of 'grew up' together twice in one lifetime. We began as boyfriend and girlfriend in jr high... and it was the typical first love passionate relationship.  God gave us a second go around as we neared forty and rediscovered each other.  The past 26 years have been FULL of growing up. The folks in the picture above were all part of the both times...

Toni Morrison, Beloved I never had a sister.  I have some truly good friends that seem to fill that void in life. I grew up with two brothers, one four years older and one 11 years younger. I felt he was more like my child than my brother. Sisters are forever. They love you unconditionally and often know what may come out of your mouth before you say it. That is how JJ was to me when I met her in seventh grade.  We are still friends

It is an expression of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole.  Just think about your life.  I know I focus on everything in my day and always weighing my decisions on different outcomes I might chose. I have to stop myself and remind myself that GOD made these forests.... all the details...  but each little tree tends to side track me and I miss the overall situation stuck on small details. Do you do this in your life? Psalm 33:10  "May he
