I live in Texas and there is a wonderful song we learned in elementary school called The Yellow Rose of Texas.  Terry makes sure I have roses of all colors so I can keep my vases full inside.  I tend to leave most of them on the vine so they last longer! Some of those storms we stir up into being and others seem to roll into our lives. We feel like we can barely hang on. Most of us try to hold on and outlast the storm, forgetting there is someone we can call on to calm it and bring us peace again.  Look around. Paintings, revamping my journey and goals.  We all have to think about those things in life and be aware of the times that require examination and change.  Change is that hard word for most of us. My friend Tom brought me three bulbs to plant and I added them to my iris group out front. About a month later these beautiful pink gladiolus began blooming. They are rich with intense pink color and brought a dramatic change to the front garde

But then slowly seeds are planted inside of you, one by one, by a touch or a look or a day skateboarding in a park, and they start to burst out of old hulls shells and they start to sprout. And pretty soon there are so many of them. They are named Love and Trust and Kindness and Joy and Desire and Wonder and Spirit and Soulmate. They grow into a garden so dense and thick that it starts to invade your brain where the old things you were once told are dying.

I will never fail you - I will never forsake you.   He promises and he always keeps His promises.  We mean way more to Him than the birds and he provides all they need.  He does that and so much more for you and me.  I have not kept my promises... have you? I stray and must refocus and find my way

I skipped posting a painting for Halloween, but I am posting the 'art' of carving.  I normally do not post on Mondays but had this photo from a few years ago and I love it.  We usually have a pumpkin carving or a GOURD party, Bring your own Gourd.... guests brought their favorite gourds and some brought little jigsaws to use on them.  It is always fun and Terry cooks up the best chili.
