From it I did the one posted last week, the purple horse... and a few coming up. This one sold the moment I posted in my website! Thank you to the collector for adding this wild palette knife horse to her collection.  Where have I been? Well... how about a long story short?     I have been battling vertigo for two months. Seriously. But that has not stopped my Reels on FB and Instagram.  Last Friday, I broke my baby toe trying to dance down our front hall way in a hurry around the vacuum cleaner. It swelled up really bad and I was not able to wear shoes. I tried to wear them yesterday.

After the second scrape from five horses to three... it made sense the next morning  to scrape it again and muddy the surface making it tonal to earth colors.   It takes guts to do this. You have to take a deep breath and start pulling the colors together allowing them to blend a story... You no longer look for horses when you do this... you create a single powerful horse... stately and magical and beautiful. Add sweeps of contrast colors can be seen once the horse is established. This is the harmony brought to the painting. It is also the strength of the painting... the blending and the top strong colors.  The Painting sold the first day it arrived at the Gallery. One larger painting went to Australia, that was similar.  It begins with prayer always for me not to be in the way of the spirit moving my touch as I paint on that canvas.   I had the canvas flat on the table and a brush in hand... not a knife. I began applying paints and was not worried if they ran or overlapped.  No preconception of what would be where.
