Immediately I began to move the surface with Indian Yellow and White... and using Mauve, I began to create a horse with my knife.  I love this little gem! Hope you do to. My work is super infused with emotions. On first site of this painting after I completed it, I realized this contemporary horse painting was done with a split color palette. Two thirds of the surface is connected on the color wheel, the red purple, the reds, oranges and yellow.  On the opposite third is a contrasting complementary color of green.  Hence the name split complimentary. Pretty unusual.   Made me reflect what type of weather would have been happening in Bethlehem when Jesus was born.  When was Jesus born?  Most of us know we have the 25th of December as the celebrated date of his birth. I can feel the cold. Our temps in the Dallas area are bouncing from in the mid forties during the day with a predicted high of 68 on Christmas.  Might be why so many people are falling sick with the indecisive weather.  I continue to be thankful that i am not sick like I was last year. We are praying my Son in Law through the next few days as he was exposed to the flu.  Had to be by his boss too. With our daughter 8 months pregnant we all want to say to his boss, WHY did you go to work sick? WHY did you feel like you had to share it in a r
