" Looking at them, Jesus *said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27 The Power of the Paint In the creating of a painting, there is power!  That is how the painting above was named this morning. The energy was amazing. Painting intuitively brings the strong advantage of power to the artist. There is power in the color of the paints. There is power in the composition of the painting. There is power in the spirit of the paintings. There is power in the creation of the painting.  Each painting has the ability to reach a heart where it belongs! I am considering teaching again from my home studio. Have not decided if I will do a full workshop, but it is on  my mind! It is always interesting t

It is a start. Still waiting on paint to arrive... new colors, new brand and hopefully some new glazing ahead layering softer pieces. With the membership at Daily Paint Works , I will be doing more $100- $150 paintings. If there is something you want to see, make a comment! I am contemplating Horses, Flowers, Trees, Water, Sailboats, Food... what else? The animals and nature will be on birch... not sure about the food and water yet! With the economy struggle, I want some smaller pieces you can collect and comfortably purchase three to frame and hang together. If you see something on the website you love that is larger and more costly, reach out to me, and I will see what I can do about pricing and about you paying it out. My job is to paint thin

When I chose the painting for my blog today , I wanted my verse from my Bible to reflect the journey of taking a trip. Everyone reacts differently to travel. If you are like me... you don't get nervous until the day of the trip. but once I begin the journey, I find a peace and calmness. This verse refers to the speaker or writer as being old and not young.  I am definitely closer to the old over the young and this speaks to and from my heart to you.  Every day is a journey in your life and you know not what is ahead.  " The Lord makes firm the steps  the one who delights in him;  though he may stumble, he will not fall,  for the Lord upholds him with his hand.  I was young

These horses appeared on the surface as I knifed the board in colors that brought me joy... and then I added more green, because all the leaves were coming out on the trees!  This painting is joyful... how about you? " Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. " Philippians 3: 13-14  Where is your joy?   There are things you can do to get your joy and your confidence back.  Life has never come with a promise of happiness. My grandmother told me many years ago, when I was 10, that happiness would fly away from "me" if I  was not helping and serv

"The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8 This painting began with light palette knife sweeps in rich colors of browns, deep reds, and golds. I knew right away it would be horses and I began turning and rotating the canvas to find the silhouettes of the horses in the paint.  They stood out strongly to my eye and I could feel the wind in their face.  Preparing for the Keller Public Art Show, I was blessed to visit The Dutch Art gallery in search of frames for several of my paintings. This frame was the first one my husband found

So also Abraham 'believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.' Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham " Galatians 3:5-7 THOSE TIMES Have you had some of these recently? In my younger years I waited for postcards from God. I knew that was not real, but I would wait for a message or direction. As I got older I accepted the reality that abiding meant abiding and waiting on HIM meant doing it patiently.   The hard thing today is letting it ALL go to the point that joy fills my thoughts and my life, my words and my actions . Not as easy as I
