No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we can love one another, we can break open the sky.” ― Walter Mosley, Blue Light I want to hurry through my blog this morning so I can go walk. The temperatures are in the sixties and I want to be out there! We still have a strong wind but it feels good. Terry has  several projects he has attacked and I am hoping they get finished. This morning I started humming my fav song by the Beatles "there are places I remember.... all my life..." and my brain sings the song through

Fear won't keep you safe from being hurt.” ― Tiffanie DeBartolo, God-Shaped Hole Yesterday I wrote about Liddle, the Scottish runner from the Paris Olympics years ago...After the Olympics were over he followed his Christian background and retraced his parents journey becoming a missionary in China. At that time WW II was in full force and he ended up in a concentration camp in China with a large number of children from the school and teachers. Thankfully he had sent his wife and children home to Canada just before he was imprison

I fully believe we are missing some of the journey the Lord has for us because things get in the way. We have such will and power that we basically run off in several directions at one time. That too is part of our society right now...being busy. We watched a special on the Olympics about

Scott Fitzgerald, This Side of Paradise Well I have been up for an hour and a half and not really accomplished much. I we

We search in reasoning and in sciences, as in a poor copy. What we neglect to see is God's painting Himself in the depth of our soul. Always be with God. Do nothing, say nothing and think nothing which may displease Him. Do this without any other view than purely for the love of Him and because He deserves infinitely more." Brother Lawrence This 2008 painting is entitled MAJESTY because as I painted it I felt the passion and fullness of the spirit within. Beauty, power and life al

I am not a drinker, but I did like their Cabernet Sauvignon and I am not a red wine drinker at all. I am more into their Dry Riesling. We have been members of their wine club for seven years, and all my galleries get good wine for the Holidays.  With the popping up of hurr

So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky Yes, I painted in New York back in 2008. We had moved to Dallas the winter before and my Mom had a serious of bad health issues and my Dad's health was not in a good place.  We grabbed Mom and flew up to Washington DC and drove up to the Finger Lake Region to Visit my friend Billie Bauman.  I painted Billie's Dog, Fast

I chose worn-out red flats. I figured I should make it clear from the start that I wasn’t princess material.” ― Kiera Cass, The Selection I love this quote... I could never be princess material either and I worry about the 'princess' mentality in our younger girls.  They are surrounded by Disney princesses. With all the over marketing the girls wear shirts, dresses, pjs, shoes, crowns, phones, computers, chairs, bedspreads... it goes on and on and on. They are literally brainwashed by it all.
