It touches the earth with gentle colors of lavender and pinks before it erupts into full colors.  The Sunsets are the same but in reverse. As the sun sets we are presented with a kaleidoscope of colors blazing across the horizon. After the blaze, the sun sets kissing the earth good-bye in lavenders and blues. Each color is in harmony to His palette and choice of colors. The beauty resonates within me each morning when I take Paddy outside after

God has created  inside  each of us a full range of emotions to develop and use in our journey. Every experience we encounter fine tunes our emotions and we learn to respond to sad things, awesome things, loving things, joyful things, scary things etc. We have been given the gift of emotions and we can choose to live in joy and give 'joy' and 'love' to others each day. YOU and I can make a difference when we meet someone with a smile, a warm compliment, a pat on the ba

There are days I begin to wonder when I feel like I am not in step with the world. Try as hard as I might that day, I cannot gain ground and often I lose it.  Laurie Pace on Guitar  When I pick up my guitar to play it, the first thing I do is check the tuning. It really throws everything off if one string is not in tune.  Same with life, if I am 'out of tune' with God and life itself, I cannot 'play'. You may be a student studying, an employee learning new things at the job, a new m

We are all apart of a community in our lives.  Could be as simple as just the town you live in, the neighborhood you liv

I believe I have 3,017 entries in that blog. First, I have decided to call this a journal and not a blog.   Blog:noun 1. a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. Journal:noun   1. a daily rec

That is where the inspiration came from. Prints are available. Click on the wolf painting. I sit here a day late with blogging because my IMAC decided it had enough after only two years in our relationship. My Mac Tower at age 10 keeps perking along slowly, never had a problem, but iMac commonly called in our household, BIG MAC is OOS.  OOS is out of service. Have you ever thought about taking yourself OOS for a day?  Unplugged and untouched by electronics and people? During your OOS begin the day in conversatio

This is the spirit of the paint in full force from the beginning stroke of color to the end. This is the joy in painting. Happiness found the painting and me. T. S. Elliot wrote: “For last year's words belong to last year's language - And next year's words await another voice.  And to make an end is to make a beginning." I have written before about extending your hands out and open in order to receive. If you do not close doors, you will never be chall

Terry and I were watching the news and they had a New Years suggestion to live one day a week like your grandparents did.  No television, no eating out, no computers, mobile phones, and less car. Make sure eating at home is all home cooked and no prepared foods.  Make sure you walk often and go purposely on walks. Spend time together as a couple or a family.  If you live alone, discover the beauty of life of simplicity. I really li
