There is always another one to find. Being in tune with life and the people around you is essential for contentment.  God has to be part of the equation. Be open to his wisdom and guidance and He will bless you with new ideas. We all welcome those 'aha' moments when the dawning comes to us through a new idea. That is pure God working

Horse 99 is literally four shades of blue and white and came out very pretty and delicate. As you greet this new year I want to pick back up on my idea to replace those resolutions that never seem to work.  Take the pressure off.  Take out some index cards and a pen or pencil and write a 'desire of your heart' down on each of them. Immediately I began to move the surface with Indian Yellow and White... and using Mauve, I began to create a horse with my knife.  I love this little gem! Hope you do to. It needs a heart home to move to. My work is super infused with emotions. On first site of this painting after I completed it, I realized this contemporary horse painting was done with a split color palette. Two thirds of the surface is connected on the color wheel, the red purple, the reds, oranges and yellow.  On the opposite third is a contrasting complementary color of green.  Hence the name split complimentary.
