She is such a dear faith based friend and so helpful with me staying focused.  At the point I was being miserable about what might be...and what was...she told me to focus on the words above. I felt such relief as I rolled those thoughts through my mind... and felt such an uplifting that I wanted to share her wisdom. Living life the best we can with prayer, discernment, di

Sometimes when Lady L takes my hand and smiles at me... I get goose bumps. The pureness of her unconditional love moves me literally from where ever my mindset is, to a point of pure love affected and conquered by nothing. Those times are few in our lives and we need to nurture more of them. When I taught fourth grade way back in the nineties, I would pick up my class after lunch and we would go back to the classroom to rest. They had gone fr

That excitement comes from your perspective at the time. Our human brain is limited and that does influence how we react to things around us. The hope is we learn to seek a wholeness when we are ill; to believe in abundance when our financial situation is tight; to work with the knowledge we have gained in our lifetime to be wise in our decisions. Last few weeks I have been struggling with a confused state of mind. (My siblings would probably say I stay this way...) but usually I am very directed and assertive like my father and mother.  I am learning to sit back quietly and find that oneness wi

We have wood floors and we knew the liquid would be under as well as against the cabinet.  After I showered we got busy... or I should say he did. Bless him as he removed EVERYTHING; His Grandmother's China, all of our crystal, our Christmas Crystal and serving dishes, our special collectible from the last two centuries.  He was even going to wash it all before he p

As I reflect more on the wisdom of not worrying... substituting joy instantly into my thought process when it begins to waver into forbidden worry area... I find that JOY is mine...and it is but a blink and a positive thought away. How easy could that be? There are times in our lives that our spirits ebb and drop into a low area. I believe it must be normal because if we did not have our lows we would not have our highs.  Days of deep sadness are balanced by days of laughter and love with family or friends.  Some days we find depressing thoughts creeping into our mind and other days we are bouncing out of bed at first l

Summer Memories I have been reading the book Anxious for Nothing by John MacArthur. It seems to be the book of travel as it was in my bags from our last trip a week ago.  Something stuck in just the first chapter, a conversation the author created between Sherlock Homes and Dr Watson.   Holmes is telling Watson he sees things but does not observe things.  They are in a room they have been in many times together. Holmes asks Watson how many times he has climbed the st

Horse Painting APPY 3 Equine Art by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Appy 3  Appaloosa Painting 36 x 36 inches Oil on Canvas       © Laurie Pace   Graphics One Design  Patience We will wait upon the Lord... We will wait upon the Lord. So often we go to Him in pray for our needs... our healing wishes, our situations, our supplications for others.  We want to bring down to earth the powers of Heaven.  We want them now...but we must learn to wait upon the Lord. We try to live our lives on our own figuring it all out... and we realize that is not working.  Drama happens, illness happens, life happens.  Sometimes you cry out to Jesus and you never seem to hear the answer.  I always refer to the Postcard from Heaven as I wait upon the Lord. Constantly in our lives we need renewal and strength.  We want to soar with the eagles and fly through this life and not get weary.  We want to face our problems and challenges and not become faint.  How do we do this? We want to experience the fullness of waiting on the Lord and having the powers of Heaven co

Horse Painting beginning Sketch by Texas Contemporary Fine Artist Laurie Pace

Beginning Sketch Appy 3 3 ft by 3 ft Oil on Canvas Why am I painting a similar Appy??  Well Fine Art America does not like the image I have loaded for Appy2.  Dawn wrote and said, Can you just paint another?   Sure, why not. It will not be the same, but I can capture an essence with color.  So Here I go!       © Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011 Words of Wisdom Lord, I have been listening.  I have been waiting to make the decision for flying to Denver. Yesterday the answer came. I woke up so out of it, dizzy and shaking that I had to realign my entire brain and my body. Allowing Him to point the direction has always worked to the better. It is only when my 'self' gets in the way things begin to fall apart.  Terry has surgery coming up; I have something inner ear plaguing me even standing up and definitely unable to bend over with out falling. Usually I am motivated beyond and packed two days before I have to leave.  I truly believe I hit my limit. The pas
