Progression on Return of the Wolf Pack 36 x 24 inches  Oil on Canvas This Wolf Oil Painting is for my Jackson Hole Gallery,  The RARE GALLERY. If you are interested in this painting you need to contact Hollee Armstrong .   ©Laurie Pace       Graphics One Design 1998-2011 The Midnight Hour It was near midnight when I stopped painting last night.  I was up about an hour ago but just now coming in to blog.  From workshop to Jackson Hole work this week and then to finish up the Denver work.  Add Morgan and Kelly's wedding to the mix and you have a busy May. This weekend here in Mt Vernon is Mayfair for the annual art show and a wine festival. We evidently have vineyards nearby that Terry and I have not explored. God's grace penetrates my mind in times like these. Seems like the plate is overfilled part with good things and part with busy work, but I find if I keep my eyes on Him and my heart open to Him, I will find my way.  I do not believe He wants our plates ever to

Morning Glories 12 x 18 inches  Watercolor $75 with shipping.  Contact me to purchase. Laurie        Praying for Others I miss going to the Ranch again early this morning. Actually Terry and I are heading out to see Candy and Dave at Selah Ranch around nine this morning.... but I miss the people that were here this weekend. I miss the artists and the artist-hood we developed.  I put the slide show over on the side column of this blog.  There were 13 attending artists.. . Barbara Haviland , Kristye Addison Dudley , Ann Morgan, Gladys Justus, Jane Crosbie from New Zealand, Nancy Coleman, Kathy Mackey, Barbara Brown, Wanda Wakefield, Belita Luman, Lori Wittke, and Katie and Neeya. We became such a close family and staying at Selah is like being in the Garden of Eden.  The folks at the ranch kept us spoiled beyond your wildest dreams. The food was over the top of the scale and the accommodations were stunning. Candy has the gift of decorating to make you feel at home. Please v
Daily Painting ~Roses for Her~ Flower Oil Painting of Roses by Laurie Pace 16 x 20 inches Oil on Canvas Contact Florence at the SR Gallery in Hong Kong to purchase. mention the title of the painting. For a commission painting of flowers, Contact: Laurie " Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me ." John 21:22 A Painting a Day: This composition was painted for my summer show in July in Hong Kong at the SR Gallery. Feeling alive and fresh and energizing was important to the final painting. Using contrasting colors for conflict and energy creates a feeling of need to climb into piece and reach out to touch the flowers. Using a wide brush with double loads of paint allows me to obtain a layered blend of colors. My Thought for the Day: So as far as you have come in this journey called "Life", have you been truly alive? We all seem to plan every day and sometimes a week or more before for things to
HAZY DAYS OF WINTER ~ Horse Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 30 x 30 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contact me for Pricing. Laurie A bit late posting this morning, but I had to finish the painting I was working on to post something. I have been selling off this blog so I am trying to paint more. Today Morgan and I will do a combined artist painting, Mother and Son! If we finish it I will post it tomorrow. Yesterday Terry spent most of the day watching TV and Ebay. He has them set up so he doesn't even have to turn his head. He can see them both by just shifting his eyes back and forth. I love having our room together. I normally paint by music though and yesterday I had car auctions in the background, History of the Moon, History of Black Holes, and one of those annoying Clint Eastwood movies where it whistles between scenes. That was like fingers on a chalk board. We hit Whole Foods about one thirty and made it to my brothers at four to watch a movie and have dinner.
Midnight Seascape 18 X 27 inches Oil on Canvas A Painting a Day It is Wednesday! All the paintings left for Wyoming...whew...one more thing behind me. I will be traveling some over the next week but will continue to post. I spent yesterday going over everything with the couple that will be staying at our home, house sitting and dog sitting. We have to make sure our animals are happy! Annie does not like the pet hotel. The pet Hotel does not like Paddy. So, we will let the dogs stay home! Now that summer has arrived we have to make sure all the trees and plants are watered too. Sometimes leaving home is a problem more than a joy. Maybe if we had a sprinkler system it might be easier. I will put that on my wish list. This painting is one of my favorite pull pieces with colors blending and merging into others. I use a thin palette knife to create this style and I am a lover of purples and blues... very restful to paint. Remember to rest in the Lord...trust Him to show you the w
WEEDA and EDDIE Commission Oil 30 X 40 inches A Painting a Day Saturday. WOW, one of my oldest friends is getting married today! Conni and I will head in to Dallas for the wedding and expect lots of good food and friends! YUMMMMM! This is the second in the commission pieces for Eddie's mom. This horse is Weeda...and Eddie was not suppose to be in the painting, but he sneaked in at Weeda's feet. IT may be another week before I can ship these...the paint is thickly applied with a palette knife. Yesterday we visited Southlake Town Square and attempted to visit a gallery on the square but it was locked tight. Wonder how that artist wants to sell work. But we did the James Avery thing and found a pretty charm bracelet for Annie. I put a Texas charm on it and she picked out a bunny for it! A wreck on the freeway delayed our lunch and arrival home. We stopped by the CAULDREN of Death and tried to get some fried chick (Chicken Express) but they were out of real chicken, like dr
Cottages at the Beach Oil on Canvas 22 x 28 inches A Painting A day GOOD MORNING!!! The house is quiet...Terry is still sleeping. We will be heading up to Oklahoma later today and of course working on packing and shipping! We spent Easter Sunday on the Road early for Church 65 miles east of us. The Service opened with my favorite Easter Song CHRIST THE LORD HAS RISEN TODAY....and my day was made! From that service we visited our old Sunday school Class where they are studying and debating Timothy and the role of women in the church. That was heated discussion to say the least. We jumped in the car then and hustled over to St Paul United Church of Christ to enjoy services with my parents. The sermon was on Mary finding the empty tomb and how she was frantic to fix everything (like most women are) but being still she found the risen Lord, he was there the whole time, but she was so busy trying to do to do to do, she didn't see him or recognize him. I reached over and grabbed my
