You know you are brave, but it does feel mighty lonely. Trusting right now as I move ahead. Giving

Milne Steve Sonnen at MIrada challenged me to some new pieces for the gallery in August.  He was wanting some of the freedom in other pieces he had sold. Sometimes that 'freedom' in a painting can seem daunting.  I have very little control over it past this point above.  I have surfaced the canvas with acrylics and once that was dry, began squirting the oils in the chosen colors all over the surface.  At this point I have control. Sometime in our lives we have annoyed other people. Sometime in our life we have hurt someone's feelings.  Today many of us hold grudges, resentments or thought of revenge against someone or somethings and it will often lead straight into health problems. I love Oscar Wilde's phrase about annoying them more by forgiving them.  It truly will help you move on to more peace and a healthier life.  Through this process y

Each morning, we awaken to the light and the invitation to a new day in the world of time; each night, we surrender to the dark to be taken to play in the world of dreams where time is no more." John O'Donohue When you think about sleeping... is it the end of the day when you go to bed... OR is going to bed the start of a new day?  Seems like a good night sleep is what jump starts your good day, so maybe we should think about that when we turn in tonight.  When you go to bed it actually is

If we have a big floor, many people will dance. Some will get angry when the rhythm changes. But life is changing all the time.  Miguel Angel Ruiz Have you been thrown any unexpected curves lately?  How do you handle them?  It is your reaction that determines the outcome, whether you can find the good in it or not.  With this new living arrangement we are still on the 'honeymoon' with occasional glitches that make us take cover and want to think about what was ...before.  We are committed to stay this course and continue to find the good in

It bypasses your logic centers and even your intellect and goes to a different part of the brain." Steven Bochco Every painting has it's own rhythm and voice.  I paint by music. Each painting has a variety of songs and words behind the process. Our lives are no different ... we have our own rhythm and voice.  Each a unique timbre of sound in the melody of life.  What is your melody? What is your life? Here at the "Lazy Ours" we all have our day to live in the best
