Relaxed. Tired. Ready to sleep. Giving up to the therapists and professionals to remold my body back to its natural state. We all have our inadequacies.  We feel we are not good enough, or pretty or handsome enough, or our feet are too big or we are not good enough to snag that better job with more pay.  We limit ourselves all the time.   We measure social success and financial success and when we fall in the bottom it just reaffirms what we have felt.. that we are simply not good enough.

Pam is by far the best framer in the US... really truly true. Levi grumbled when Terry put a hole in the back brown paper on one piece but he redid it for us and we actually made it back home by 1:30 in the afternoon.  Good thing we did as both dogs decided the extra veggies Terry fed them last night did not agree with their constitution and they both had the runs.  We were airing the house out for hours...but all is good now. Fast Trip... hurry hurry hurry . Isn't that the way our lives seem today?  I was so relaxed going in yesterday that the trip in flew by us both.  We were at Uline at the appointed time.. and stopped at Whole Foods for a yummie breakfast burrito,

"Epsilon" Abstract Horse Painting in Progress 30 x 40 inches Mixed Media Painting Still watching direction on this one...stay tuned for final shots in the next few days.   © Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011      Waiting As I work on a painting in my studio I am always waiting and watching the direction of growth as the painting develops under my brush and/or palette knife.  I wrote yesterday about "in the mind's eye".  Today I spent another three or four hours on this piece and it is evolving with the layering of all the paints and the changing of contrasting colors building on each other. There are quite a few hours yet to be to travel with this one and I will wait patiently as I paint. I am in waiting for that inner feeling that my job is complete and the painting has reached the point of 'finish'. We all seem to do a lot of 'waiting' in life. Often we are waiting on others instead of concentrating on waiting on God. Wai

Progress on an Abstract Expressionistic Horse Painting 30 x 40 x 2 Inches  Mixed Media on Canvas I am not sure of direction in the painting or the direction of the finished piece.  I will be delivering pieces to Mirada this month for the July show,  and also pieces to the Rare Gallery in Jackson Hole . This is about 1/3 of the way done. The piles and layers of paint take days to build up. Sunbathing Buffalo 24 x 36 inches  Oil on Canvas    © Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011 Contact me to Purchase or for commission work: Laurie     The Sun Will Come Out I saw a sign at the Baptist Church when I drove Terry in to town yesterday for more medicine.  "The Lord Reigns and the Son Shines."   I took a liking to that; when I came home I had these buffalo sketched out on the canvas. Orginally there were more in the distance but once I had that phrase in mind the buffalo painting become three buffalo for symbolic representation of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  The Son Shines... even in the painting! Yeah, that was corny but it was true.  This painting style and approach is like my Hidden in the Woods Painting for Denver.  I am not sure if this is Denver bound or Jackson bound.
