Families have returned to their homes and the decorating for Christmas fills our homes with holiday colors.  The Aspens were really last month, but I painted these and enjoyed the color with every stroke of my palette knife. Do You Remember When?   Families ate dinner together at the table every night?   Families went to church together several times a week?   When going out to eat was something special to look forward too?   When you put puzzles together as a family? When TV dinners were a treat that mom would buy at the store for you when she and dad were going out to eat?   When singing together around the piano as a family was still considered fun?

Most of the trees are baring up for the winter with few stragglers hanging on. It is a carpet of color outside our door.   Fall leaves little doubt (Pardon the pun) of God's creative side.  These changes are purposely planned to bring the beauty to our conscious thoughts.  Our thoughts drift like these leaves ... gently to the ground.
