So this past week I have been tooling around with my website bringing into something to take into 2015.  The problem has been the tabs at the top. They look better white but guess what...white will not show up on a cell phone. DUH...so I am trying a mid blue. I know I posted this sketch on canvas probably in June or July... and it sat in the studio. Today I picked it up and began slapping colors on the surface.  That is never enough, but it is a foundation and a start.  Wait till you see the finished painting tomorrow. Remembering back is always so special to your first birth and your first baby.  I chose this horse painting because that is one thing he loved to do was play. He played hard, worked hard and sometimes studied hard.  He is a father of two wonderful boys that I cherish dearly and married to a wonderful woman.  Together they enjoy life's journey. Happy Birthday Justin.  He is about six months old here. This was Easter time.

Which came first, the drawing, or the paint? That is for you to figure out.    I feel almost paralyzed by world events...knowing I need to pray. So between breaths I am praying. You can see them at Daily Painters.  They are mixed in with my other figurative work.  I love the thick paint and layering on this one and it is musical in person.
