Remembering back is always so special to your first birth and your first baby.  I chose this horse painting because that is one thing he loved to do was play. He played hard, worked hard and sometimes studied hard.  He is a father of two wonderful boys that I cherish dearly and married to a wonderful woman.  Together they enjoy life's journey. Happy Birthday Justin.  He is about six months old here. This was Easter time.

You can see them at Daily Painters.  They are mixed in with my other figurative work.  I love the thick paint and layering on this one and it is musical in person. I remember the evening I began this painting. I started with acrylics and began molding the horse using my fingers... The next morning the brush went to work and last the palette knife.  It makes a wonderful print and it can be embellished as well.  Some mornings I wish I could be 'embellished'.  Retirement is not exact

I know this is in God's larger plan that we are in such a drought.  This sunny contemporary horse painting was completed in 2012. I do have it available for prints.   Stop buy and take a look. It might just brighten your home.

Not sure I can help get him placed anywhere, but it did inspire me to entitle this painting Mr. Blue.   I was challenged by a buyer of one of the other 8 x 8 pieces to do a horse in cobalt blues.   That is what triggered the blues in this contemporary horse painting. LOTS of cobalt blue, horizon blue, a touch of mauve, orange, napthal red, and itty bits of white.... and voila, Mr Bl
