I have not decided if I am done with it or not... so you might see it again.  The soft blues are my favorites to work with. The Thought: PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE... my heart is praising .   I got my first box of my Heart Books from LULU today and they turned out beautifully.  I truly give all the credit to God for the majority of my work. There are those times I jump in without the spirit, and altho I execute a painting, it lacks the spirit.  Then I have to give incredible thanks to Jan Wenstrand and her magic in correcting all my typos and grammar issues.  Some folks are so good at that, and some of us are not! This was drawn off on canvas before the new year started but I have not been in the studio to work until today. I just finished it up last night and decided to post it right away.  I love the play of colors of the rust and blues. The Thought:   Sometimes I have trouble with staying focused with the phone ringing all the time.  Yesterday was ONE of those days. Terry was back at work, Crystal was at school and EVERYONE decided to call.  Unfortunately it slowed me down quite a bit as I had so much to do yesterday and I only finished the one painting.  I did not even get sketching on the next ones.  My sketch book is full of future paintings... and maybe later today I can paint again. Tomorrow I return to my easel after about a two week break. The Thought :  Expiration Date.... we were at the store and I was checking expiration dates on things to make sure Murphy's Law did not encourage me taking something home that we could not eat. I hate returning things... so much trouble to keep up with receipts and then remembering to take it with you on the next trip there. This is building up to where I want to go with other pieces and playing with delicate papers and varnish overlays.  I did this on New Years Day at Stacey's house. The Thought: I heard from a reader of my blog that she was worried about my slight change in writing on my blog.  It touched my heart that she took the time to write me and share what was in her heart to help me mend.  It is a cherished gift and I am thankful to receive her kind words and sharing of her experiences.   Everything we do, we should do it from the heart. While you eagerly anticipate the joy of the new this day, you probably have much of the old tugging away at you. Have you ever gotten yourself into something while really "heartfully" trying to help someone?   I am there and have hit the wall.  Examining the situation I know I can only trust God is going to see me through it because I don't have the desire or strength to go the journey.

I will probably do a similar follow up piece and I loved moving the paint around on the canvas. The Thought:   Someone once ask me how long it took to complete a particular painting.   My reply was one shared with me by fellow artist Diane Whitehead.... my reply was simply, "It took 57 years."  That is how old I am, and truly that is how long it took to do this particular painting.  Diane was correct as it takes every experience in our lives to get where we are at this second.  So as the year 2009 comes to a close this evening , I look back at a year of so many blessings I cannot count them.  Change alone is a blessing if you look at it that way.  Change is never good nor bad, it is simply chan

Those are really the most unique pieces that take on a strong spirit of their own. Prepared for the stay at home day, we had bought New York Strip Steaks from Whole foods. The Thought: The original saying is don't put all your eggs in the same basket. ..but I sort of disagree with that. As a believer, ALL MY EGGS are in HIS BASKET.  I trust Him implicitly with "my eggs".   My hopes, dreams, fears, love, desires, heartache, illness, joys and laughter... are all in "His Basket". When you are ready, you too will realize they are all safer there than anywhere else .  In His Hands... all your eggs. He doesn't even need the basket, He won't drop any of them. I have several large commission pieces I will start and I do not want to waver from working on them....and try and do small things just to post.  So I will comb through the back files and put up different images of past work. The Thought: Today for me will be a day of centering .... centering in absolute peace and acknowledging that GOD is indeed in charge of this day, this week, this month, this year and my life.  There are storms raging around me both in the weather and in my own family; there is another missed vacation this week due to weather and family. Yet I know deep inside of me is a place of peace that I can go to and 'float' in calm waters.... waiting f
