When you pray to the Father while holding things against some one, You must forgive him first, before the Father forgives what you have done. “Do not jud

It is one of those you eat on for several days. Menu: Homemade Chicken Sweet Potato Soup with Mesa and Chili Peppers Homemade Russian Rye Bread Rainy Days are days I feel like God has tucked us in to rest.  We stayed off the computers because of lightening and storms and stayed and worked together in the kitchen. Makes it cosy and you feel safe at home... In His Hands, showered by His Love. Words from my Heart, Laurie "Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit." Jame

Is it a feeling or is it knowledge?  How do we know when to take action in our lives and how do we know it is the right action?  With all the complicated thoughts racing through our heads, it seems impossible to let them go to clear out the clutter and let God's presence into your mind.  To be free of doubt or fear and to act in faith requires inspired direction from Him. And how are you inspired as we enter into the Lenten season?   Think not only of what to give up for Lent, but what to add for Lent. 1. Give up smoking      Get better health 2. Give up sweets         Get better health 3. Give up television    Get better relationships OR 1. Add exercise      Get better health 2.

Red Desert Horse SOLD 18 x 24 Acrylic on Canvas   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      I promised a note about the Baptism give away... Beth Lenderman from OK won the big print. In my hurry and excitement putting it up on the blog, I worded it a bit differently and some of you thought EVERYONE would get a print. I cannot send out that many large prints. The postage alone would be a month of groceries for me!  So I am sending out smaller prints to everyone!  When I post these they are always a drawing for the print or painting. I will be careful to explain it... so EVERYONE won this time!  Watch for more coming up soon. L "I wanna piece..." Seems like that is the norm now.. give me... I want some.  What we do not grasp is the more we stock up on the pieces the less peace we truly have. When you see rain falling outside the window with the r

Journey, Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

JOURNEY Horse Painting by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace This is indeed a journey. This is blog number 2000 I think.  2000 days of blogging. That may indicate a need for a give away painting this week. Stay tuned. 28 x 42 inches  Mixed Media on Canvas   ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012 Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Kinesthetically Speaking Wikipedia Kinesthetic  learning  is a  learning style  in which  learning  takes place by the student actually carrying out a physical activity, rather than listening to a lecture or merely watching a demonstration. It is also referred to as  tactile learning . People with a kinesthetic learning style are also commonly known as  do-ers . I come from a teaching background and this word has been apart of me a long time. Every student has a different learning style. While they may all overlap, they are still distinctive to them.  As Terry always says..

Well, I laughed until I cried yesterday when Stacey sent this image of Lady L. If you recall they have two new puppies they rescued that are about 4 months old. They are little miniature Schnauzers, but I really believe one is really part black lab.  So the dogs love playing in the back yard.  This is Lady L's personal territory with her new "Park".   She walked in the house late yesterday with dog poop all over her shoes, socks and lower legs.  Her mom could not even imagine HOW she got into this much puppy poop. The backyard is snipe

'Color of Light' Watercolor Horse Colorful Sunset Daily Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

'Color of Light Pony' Earth, Sea and Air Gallery Series 2010 6 x 6 inches  Watercolor on Aquaboard SOLD Contact me to purchase by check or paypal. Laurie  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting :  Well, I continued painting in my new Gallery Series, Earth, Sea and Air. This is on fabulous aquaboard which leaves a wonderful textured feeling for the watercolor. This is so easy to slip into a frame and hang..or you could set it up on an easel as it is.  It is not watercolor paper. It is a heavy Masonite type board with the aqua surface to absorb the watercolors. The Thought:  Y ou know I am always talking on and off about the peacocks .  Here is a picture of the magical bird that lives two streets away from us. It actually lives next door to the house I grew up in.  These were taken from a moving car with my iphone so they are not exactly sharp... but you can tell it is a peacock for sure. In my research on Peacocks and God on the internet, I

Laurie "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27:1 Looking Forward to Date Night Well Terry asked me out on a date for tonight. We are going to go to the boat show. I have always dreamed of living on a huge sailboat...NOT...but maybe enjoying one with sides at least. We have two English Dart 18 ft Racing Catamarans. When I hit fifty I told him I needed a boat with sides. We are in no position to buy one right now, but I absolutely love looking at them. So we have tickets to the Dallas Boat Show! I might wrangle dinner out as well, but with it being flu season... I may think twice. My mom and brother were both hit by the flu bad this week. Mom is almost recovered. My younger brother had it hit as he
Tentative Contemporary Art Daily Painting Horse by Laurie Justus Pace 18 x 24 inches Mixed Medium, Watercolor, Acrylic and Oil on Canvas Contact me to purchase: Laurie I was not sure what appealed to me here to define it....but this painting makes you take several looks at it...you can't just look once. The rhythm of the brushstrokes and the evolving colors seem to bring you back for more. If a painting is too perfect or too"comfortable".... you get bored easily and you don't look back. An artist strives to capture an emotion or feeling in their work that pulls the viewer into the painting. I firmly believe that happens in our lives every day. Seems like our society today pulls us many directions with enticements of color and excitement. Small example: Terry and I were walking out of the local Sherman Williams store and he goes "CHICKEN, I Smell fried Chicken." Of course this is after our one hour walk that morning when we both pledged to watch the i
