SCOTT FITZGERALD Terry and I sat down to figure out we have been sheltering at home since the second of March. Forty-four days?  It truly seems longer to me. That is longer than Noah and the Flood!!!  From rain and more rain, building 1000 piece puzzles, playing other games, doing small repairs in the house here and there, we have survived those 44 days. I am waiting for the dove to arrive... hey wait, they are all over our backyard!  AM I THE ONLY STIR CRAZY PERSON? Color of Wind . Change is in the Air . Contemporary Horse Paintings . Laurie Pace Texas Artist

© +Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2019 Contemporary Horse Paintings, Abstract Horse Paintings The Color of Wind  36 x 48  Oil on Canvas  SOLD ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOLLOW MY BLOG  ON INSTAGRAM     @lauriepaceblog Available Paintings by Laurie Pace          “Words are easy, like the wind; Faithful friends are hard to find.” William Shakespeare The wind in our lives can sometimes feel soothing. The wind in our lives can sometime usher in storms. Who controls the wind?  He does. So when we are sailing smoothly through our lives, we often forget the wind may change at any time; it could bring calm and peace, or the rush of storms.  We have very little 'control' in our lives when it comes to life.  We have choices and sometimes those are good and sometimes they are not.  The one major thing we can control is our reactions to the events in our lives

Sunrise Greeting Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 Sunrise Greeting 8 x 8 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Even if I tried over and over I could not possibly get a good shot of this painting. The intensity of the sunrise with the pinks and golds and oranges is incredible.  Made me think of Colorado or even Wyoming near Jackson Hole. The skies clear and the sunrise vivid. Some mornings we wake up and life seems ready for us. Our plans are in place for the day and the things outlined that we need to accomplish. We anticipate joyfully all ahead, jump out of bed, dress and start that day...but...have you forgotten something?  Is God on that list?  He should be the waking thought... and the words of eagerness and joy thanking Him before you even push that foot out from under those covers.  Bring God back into your day, your hour, your minutes...give Him an active role in your life. Therefore confess your sins t

Horse 30 In The Pink Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2014 In The Pink 9 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas. Available Paintings by Laurie Pace  Yes, so Lady L was visiting and we always visit the color Pink. I used the same new approach with this painting as I did the first two.  It truly is a 'freeing' feeling when working over these small canvas. Not sure how it will work on a larger horse painting. Terry is off restriction now with his eyes. He is building square foot gardening in our back yard. We bought all the organic peat moss, organic compost and the vermiculite to fill each of the four beds with. Lady L will be over helping with the planting and hopefully later with harvesting and eating.  I am making out a list today of what we are growing.  Pumpkins are at the top of Lady's L's list. We may have to grow those at her house. I remember my mother growing watermelons in the dogrun out in the backyard when we were growing up. She ha

The Traveler, An Abstract Contemporary Horse Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace.

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 The Traveler  Contemporary Horse Painting  SOLD 30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas.  This painting has intensity. This contemporary horse painting is a journey in itself as I began a different painting on the surface and discovered it was not where my creativity was smiling, so from that point, Traveler began to take its place on the surface. Rough ragged terrain and a horse crossing over it, blending in with the colors and the spirit. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.  1 John 3:16-18 Laurie Pace A Texas Artist   My Blog          My Website

Mixed Media Collage Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Justus Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Horse Collage Fall 2013  12 x 18 inches Mixed Media on Canvas.  This was an intentional paint to imitate one of the 100 ponies I did in 2012. That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. This is available for purchase. Please click here  to see pricing and painting.
