Flower Painting, Tiny Pink Roses by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Tiny Pink Roses 5 x 7 inches Oil on Canvas    ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting  or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Living with HeArt Our granddaughter was visiting this week and I have to share a picture or two from the visit.  Bampa aka Terry says she is a spirit to be reckoned with. When she is slightly aggravated with a situation she knits her eyebrows, grits her teeth and begins to shake in defiance. You want to laugh but you dare not to.  On the other side, this sweet Lady L reflects much of me in her with her immediate draw to the piano within the first 60 seconds she is in the house.    From there she works her way to the harp , an instrument she was drawn to at 3 months of age. See first picture to your left.  She would crawl or scoot her way to the harp as we placed it near her blanket on the floor.  She loved reaching out with her fingertips to hear the strings sing out and echo through the house.

ROSE PAINTING A Dozen August Roses by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Dozen August Roses 12 x 12 inches Oil on Board       ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie   (I left the close ups pretty big so enjoy!)     Close up 1 Close Up 2     WE BOW DOWN How do you bow down before the Lord?  The time you spend alone with God determines how intimate your relationship is with Him.  That 'intimacy' word again. Bowing down to worship is the act of freely giving love to GOD in every aspect of your life, not just in those moments of desperate prayer.  How can you expect intimacy in a relationship that you do not contribute to? Start small if you are just reaching out. Some of you will find connection in singing... and this is one of my favorites..  We Bow Down by Twila Paris You are Lord of the Heavens and Lord of my life Lord of the land and the sea You were Lord of Creation before there was time And Lord of all Lords
No. 78 March of the Toreador Rose Contemporary Art Daily Painting Rose by Laurie Justus Pace 20 x 24 inches of Acrylic and Varnish layers on antique Music "March of the Toreadors" SOLD FROM THE BLOG! Thank you! Contact me for information to purchase.. . Laurie " The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;" Song of Solomon 2:12 Curiously Flowers are not really mentioned often in the Bible. There are words of things flowering and blooming, but only three flowers are mentioned, the lily, the rose and the camphire. The Song of Solomon contains all three. In the New Testament, Jesus spoke to the people of the lilies of the field in one of His parables. He also spoke of the vine, the orchards and gardens, but not specific flowers. Easy to understand that flowers we have here in North America are going to be different from what was grown in that region 2000 years ago. The Camphire was
16 Roses Flower Art by Laurie Justus Pace 11 x 14 on Linen Panel SOLD ON DAILY PAINTERS! THANK YOU!! This painting is very similar to the one I painted in celebration of my mom's birthday last summer. I purchased some new linen panels from Ray Mar art and I wanted to try them out. Today's post and tomorrows will be on the panels. I absolutely LOVE them. The paint moves differently .... I think I am going to like it. This would make a delightful gift for someone, email me! Well, I have the movers scheduled...now I need to pack and in between keep painting. Moving a family and a houseful of belongings is one thing, but adding a full art studio, a huge printer and all my stock of canvas, paints etc...well that is a different story. Trying to keep harmony in your life during a move is a challenge. Trying to remember WHAT you have to update and change is a pain. My youngest son fell off a roof yesterday. He was working hanging Christmas lights and went down over 35 feet. He
Brilliant Roses ~ Rose Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 24 inches Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas Contemporary Art for the Home SOLD Monday greets us with rain this morning. A cold front pushing through will lower our temps to the high eighties. I hope you found that amusing. We are so ready for at least one good one to push through. This painting is so thickly wet. I haven't painted this thick in awhile. The color is vibrant. There is not room for sad or depressed states around this baby...she makes you smile as she lights up your eyes. Terry and I had dinner and cowboys with our eldest son Justin and his girlfriend Jan. It was fun. I have not had the opportunity to relax and laugh as I did yesterday. I am not painting today either, so it will probably be Wednesday before I pick up a paint brush. Yesterday one of my buyers drove up from FtWorth to pick up his 18 x 60 inch painting. Problem was he was in a small pickup truck and it was cloudy and threatening rain! His d
