I am tying it all together with heartstrings.  It is beautiful.  February is big birthday month in our family. What in the world were all those people doing in May to have all these February birthdays?  A generation ago, we knew what everyone was doing in February because we had almost every day of the calendar covered in November with birthdays. Seems like just yesterday that we found out a new baby would be part of our family this year. The predicted birthday was Feb 9th.  That was back last May 201

SOLD  This was a commissioned piece for early January that I have been working on.  It had a few progression shots, but I am trying to keep life a bit more simple and share things that I finish as I do them. This collage mixed media piece is filled with things that are important to this family including birthday's and thoughts. A family share life daily and nightly and these days of compiling energy and sharing are brought forth into a simple piece of art reminding them of their journey. SOLD - Gift The Layering continued on this abstract heart painting while I was putting up the five extra give aways. Now it is time to finish this painting as it is a Christmas gift. This is the fourth Sunday in Advent. I really do not know where the time has gone in December. We have seen a little bit of everything from unexpected ice storms paralyzing our lives for almost a week, to sweet memories made with our grandchildren, and with our families.  Everything is in His time and not ours.  Jesus' birth was part of God's plan in His time, and it is now our time to reflect deeply on this simple birth and great magnitude it had on generations to come.  Reading our advent going from the Old Testament to the New Testament, Terry

SOLD  I took a bit of time choosing the Bible pages to put down on the base foundation of this piece and on top of those woven across are pages from the Chronicles of Narnia. The basic premise here are three hearts representing three children, but my deep feel is to do five hearts to include the parents... so I am working with fives as this begins to unfold. There are five hearts in Narnia built on top of the Bible and there are five waves across the top of the composition and two on the left side and three on the right side. These are the people in your journey that are always there for you, always giving and providing when you need it. They never ask questions because they know you so well, and they know you only ask when you really need something.   Life Givers ... I believe God has a special gift He gives to some of us.  Just being in the presence of a life giver provides comfort to you.  While some may believe 'things' can be life givers, I personally am drawn to the touch of a hand, the warmth of a smile, the kindness of help and companionship when I am weary.  A life giver empowers you to continue and make your way.
