I am thinking the year I painted this was 2004 and probably fall. I really enjoyed the journey and the intended message with rose in hand was the thoughts we cannot read. Perhaps if her gaze was part of the painting, you might see wonderment or joy....OR you might see tears and heartbreak.  What ever it was... it is fleeting moments never to be locked in time, but we all manage to lock all these fleeting moments into feelings that linger in our minds and hearts.  “ Life is made up of a collection of moments that are not ours to keep. This painting, A Swirl of Dreams, is in the holding process !  Meaning I worked on it two or three weeks, adding layer after layer and I think I am done, but I have to watch it for a few days!  Every child, and especially little girls, like to twirl and swirl in circles.  The world blurs to colors and light and creates a joyful place to dream. I always was a dreamer and I loved to read... today I have been diving into a book called 27,000 Steps by Sara Thurman... it is an Epic Marriage Story guided in faith by leaving a legacy. Normally it would be birthday month but our choices of doing things is slim with the Covid running rampant again. A large box arrived this morning and I will be unpacking it shortly!
