Faith A Time for Everything There is a time for everything,  and a season for every activity under the heavens:   a time to be born and a time to die,   a time to plant and a time to uproot,   a time to kill and a time to heal,   a time to tear down and a time to build,   a time to weep and a time to laugh,   a time to mourn and a time to dance,     a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,   a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,     a time to search and a time to give up,   a time to keep and a time to throw away,   a time to tear and a time to mend,   a time to be silent and a time to speak,   a time to love and a time to hate,   a time for war and a time for peace. Seeing it written on paper makes everything seem more official. I think that is why my Dad always had us making lists.   Write it down... I LIVE IN JOY. You have the ability to do this. Now that you have written the words down... read it out loud. Read it again. I live in Joy.  Are you smiling yet? Just speaking it out begins to lift your smile and your mood. Give the joy to others today. The more you give out, the more joy you will have inside of you. Feel the joy of God, share the joy of God.   Choo

Golden Spirit an Arabian Horse Painting 24 x 30 inches  Oil on Canvas   This was a commission painting for a dear dear friend, Ann. Please read more about these special people that come into our lives below. She wanted an Arabian and wanted to 'fall in love with it'.  I hope I accomplished this as I used her favorite blues, greens and violets contrasting the background with golds and soft oranges.  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Artist of Love Sometimes in our walk we meet those special people. You know immediately who they are when you are introduced. My Mother was the first one I meet. Then for sure my daughter's close friend Shannon. Then I had a workshop this past year and I meet Ann. At the workshop, every person that attended was special.  I felt blessed by every single artist. When I say special people, I mean they don't just 'live'

Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving, large or small, it will be used to measure what is given back to you ." Luke 6:38 The Painting : I continue to experiment this summer using my acrylics more. With this high humidity it is almost impossible to get oils to dry. I have never 'loved' acrylics, but with the situation as it is, I am learning more about them and their flexibility compared to oils. I have about decided they are as different as night and day. This painting began with pinks, oranges and reds washed thickly over the background. From there the layering of acrylics creates a wash and drip effect and thickening of layers provides contrast in both color and texture. The Thought
