Trish Yearwood Every time I think of the floods from Houston and Harvey, I remember the stories of not just the people, but those of the animals, horses, dogs, livestock... One call out on FB was from a frantic horse person that discovered a large group of horses stranded by water.  A fence would have to be cut, horses had to be lead out of the area through deep water and then there needed to be horse trailers for them and a rescue place as well. But in less than 30 min, the area was full of peopl

Wallace Stevens Our 'Golden Pond' is in east Texas. Some of the inhabitants were there almost year round and these three were my buddies! They are actually on the pond in the back yard between us and the lake.  Terry and I spent hours walking around our cove and peninsula on the lake.
