As I mentioned in a prior writing, I sketched this onto the surface last week and had intentions of painting Friday last week and then of course hopeful for the weekend and it never happened.  Finally on Monday I was able to block in the values and Tuesday I began painting. The horses I am working on today were charcoaled onto the canvas about five days ago and I have literally been waiting patiently to paint.  I was up early this morning; I am showered and have wet hair curling wildly as it dries, pulled in clips from my face to keep it out of the painting process.  Terry was super great and had a protein drink ready for me an hour into the piece...and I returned to w

Perfect gift for the upcoming holidays.    This piece is on hard board. It was coated with brilliant cobalt blue acrylic and then came the layers of white oil and all the caramel browns, reds, turquoises and more. I love the textured look of the blue beneath the white, just like stones, twigs and grass beneath the light layer of first snow.

I have it on vimeo, but they do not get the traffic that Youtube gets. I still like Vimeo the best but when you are building up marketing and preparing to paint paint paint... you have to get it all together, so yep, rising up with the coming cooler weather, sketching out of canvas paintings yet to come... just a sketch or thought as I plan out palettes and under foundations. So this past week I have been tooling around with my website bringing into something to take into 2015.  The problem has been the tabs at the top. They look better white but guess what...white will not show up on a cell phone. DUH...so I am trying a mid blue. Design concepts and layouts tell me scream it out with red, but my inner spirit says BLUE baby blue.   There are quite a few new small paintings available for you to choose from.  Perfect time to start your holiday
