There was a woman that wanted a small original painting I had done similar to this. She died shortly thereafter and her husband commissioned this for their home.  She told him it reminded her of her life as a child with her sisters.  I am always touched by the stories and the love and spirit that works into each of my paintings.     Even to your old age and gray hairs     I am he, I am he who will sustain you. SOLD  This was from my studio at the lake.  Very interesting piece with the layering over a three week period. It started with mosaic pieces of paper preparing the canvas and then moved forward from there to be a strong abstract horse painting.  Sometimes the weakest paintings make the strongest paintings. It is never giving up...but continuing to paint and mold the spirit within.  Your hands fashioned and made me, and now you have destroyed me altogether. Remember that you have made me like clay; and will you return me to the dust? Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese? You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews. You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit. SOLD  This was a discovery painting done in December 2011.  Often you are moving paint on an abstract horse painting and different things begin to appear. The horses gathered around the watering hole was born from such a discovery.  Allowing the spirit of the painting to come through works better than an artist forcing an issue with a painting.   But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.  Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
