Gone are the 115 degree days and in are coming some nights falling closer to freezing. I find myself wearing a sweater at 80 degrees outside.  Soon we will be eating chili and soup and not thinking of cold ice cream and soft yogurt. The reviews of Braums soft serve Yogurt are off the charts.  Something reminiscent of my childhood years in St. Louis and soft serve ice cream.  Read the Review from Dallas. So when Terry and I are living OUT where it is an hour to drive to Braums and an hour back, we think twice before making the trip. Terry has found a fix for the need... We drive the

NEXT came this one.... from the Moonlight Madness. 24 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD but not really... just painted over again... a week in the life of a canvas of a frustrated painter.      ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Enfolded Inner Peace is something sought by all of us. Inner peace is a state of mind where we are mentally and spiritually at peace inside of us despite what is happening in the world around us.  It prevails to keep us strong with we face stress.  It prevails against anxiety and worry. At the top of my list for inner peace promoters... is God's abundant color in nature. The colors of this flowers are vivid and the beauty is raw. Loose yourself in the moment with me. Walking each day provides a perfect retreat to drink in the beauty in your neighborhood and get exercise for your body as well....                                   Click here for the

Abstract Horse Canvas Changes by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Changes on the Canvas SOLD for DP but actually non existent. What happens on a canvas when it does not feel right to me as the artist? I scrap it, repaint, re-layer, scrap again and again...  This is a story of becoming... This WAS  Moonlight Madness... but it is not more.  Stay tuned for tomorrow to see where it goes to.     ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Trapped Inside Yourself There was a darkness outside the door this morning when I walked the dogs out. Hidden between the leaves of the trees I caught a glimpse of the brilliant glow of the moon, but I could not see much because the moon was blocked by the thick forest we live in. A cool breeze began with the moving cold front reaching the lake this morning. Change was in the darkness.  Is there growth in darkness? Pausing under the tree was like disappearing from the earth or from life, abandoning touch with real

Progress... We have of course the many individuals that serve us in our communities. This is Sheriff Paul Fletcher (Franklin County Texas) and his wife, Mount Vernon Police Officer Vicki Fletcher.  They both served as Dallas Police officers for over 24 years before retiring to Mount Vernon.  They were 'retired' for about four years and missed 'serving'. Paul was elected Sheriff and Vicki 'volunteers' for the city police force.

Are you limiting yourself in life for the wrong reasons? We start out so simply being born into the arms of our family who then tend to our needs and cares. Rain was predicted and Dallas had been blessed with 18 hours of solid rain. Not much was on the screen to our disappointment.      The ground is dry and much has died around us. I gave up watching the computer scene hearing my grandmother's voice echoing in my head, "A watched pot never boils".  Click here to read more. Laurie Justus Pace My Bl

In Awe    20 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas SOLD This equine painting was done in 2010 and it sold with in two weeks of completion.  I love the energy and the colors that explode behind the horse in the painting and the powerful strength in the horse. When looking at it now I realize I want to paint it a again and tweak the neck area coming into the chest.   I guess that is why artists revisit subjects to paint them again and try new things.  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie          Colors of God God is the light that surrounds me. Sitting outside on the deck swing this morning I closed my eyes and emptied my mind feeling the breath of God around me in the strong early morning southern breeze. Anticipation is of gulf moisture bringing possible rain tomorrow. The trees blow caressed by  His early sunrise breeze, they are waiting. What is it they can do? Nothing, they simply wait and feel the wind touching through their branches and leaves. Waiting grounded in the earth by their deep

We are often too busy for God. Or we think we are too good and do not need His grace. It is only when your heart is open to His saving race can you have a true relationship with God. His saving grace for us become His sanctifying grace. We grow both in His grace as well as with His grace. Growing in love following Him brings peace to life. God's grace covers us through our trials and hardships guiding by His light from our darkest places.  CLICK here to read more... My Blog    My Website     Giclees on Canvas, Print

As an artist/mom I would make sure the plate I put before my children was colorful. I had one that would not eat eggs. There was one that would not eat corn or mashed potatoes. Finally there was one that ate everything. He is that way in life too...he has to try everything, the good and the bad.     CLICK HERE TO READ MORE> My Blog    My Website     Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards      The Five Graces     The Artists of Texa
