August 4, 2006 Trees Trees Trees... so many are dying in our drought here in Texas. Some trees are over 100 years old and many folks cannot afford to root water the trees to keep them alive, so many are dying. We are in several years of drought. Terry laughs and says we traveled 2000 miles this summer to see a rainstorm in NY. This painting is entitled BRIDGES TWO.
August 3, 2006 Well, Terry brought home an apple Pie from Krogers. They do good pie...so do I, but no time at the moment to bake. I sliced off a piece, mounded Ice Cream on top and took pictures to paint from. YUMMMMMM. SO I do continue the Pace Painting a Day.... Jim from Asel Art is sending me smaller boards...most now are 8 X 11 but I am paring down to 5 X 7 so it is a true miniature. We may do a quick flight to the north to visit my aunt and celebrate her birthday so I may miss a day or two, but will continue as time permits.
AUGUST 2, 2006 This was an interesting painting/study. I was digging around for my melon this morning early and found a beer on a shelf laying down. I pulled it out and grabbed a bag of barrel pretzels and set it up to paint. This is the result! Mary Jo I hope you are painting your painting a day! I have things to get ready for an art show on Friday but hope to paint another larger piece today and tomorrow. Not sure of subject, will have to ponder that first!
