Not sure where the time has gone. We helped raise him in his younger years until about age 6 or 7. Every Christmas Terry and I love to pull out the family ornaments and reminiscence.   This little snowman was Jonathan's ornament that we kept to remind us of the Christmas' we spent together as family. I will be sharing some of our favorites with you this month.  The small one in back of the snowman is an old family ornament from the Pace household of the 60's.  We still have a box of ornaments missing as well as my Christmas wreath for the front door. So I scrap and paint over it or I just layer on top of it. Beginnings are not just beginnings, they are born of endings. When things look bleak, that is when the seed has taken root and while you believe everything around you to be ending or finishing... this 'ending' is giving birth to something new for you. God opens a door ever so slightly... you have to pull all the way open and take the steps to walk out to BEGIN.  Leaving that room is the end and that first step the true beginning. Every friendship goes through a 'disappointment' phase. In fact every relationship does too. It is a season needed to deepen the commitment for an enduring friendship. Texas meets Denver, Laurie and Kimberly in New York Meet 'Texas' and 'Denver'.  Kimberly and I meet face to face for the first time a year ago (2010) in New York. Texas remains under a scorching sun literally drying up water resources for many towns and killing the trees and forests in the state. Well is was 116 degrees outside yesterday. How do you get energized to do anything? I started out early scrubbing our bathroom, cleaning out drawers and cabinets and washing rugs. I proceeded on to our bedroom to dust and sweep but I was wearing out fast.  Terry jumped in the fray and we cleaned all the leather furniture in the den and he did the floors while I dusted and did the glass.
