Wolves of Snake River in Progress By Texas Artist Laurie Pace    32 x 40 inches Oil on Canvas   This is a commissioned painting of my signature pull painting done with wolves. Most of these paintings are sold through RareGalleryJacksonHole.com Why must we live behind a mask?  Why is it easy to talk about others or turn a cold shoulder? Why is it impossible to look into a mirror and see ourselves as we really are, as people see us?   More important, how does God see you?   Behind our mask we hide the deepest hurts of our souls and earthly lives. Our shame compiled and fertilized over the years till it grows wildly and fills us with fear.  The fear manifests itself in belittling others to make them feel less and trying desperately to make us feel more. Can we love and believe in others for the good; to accept another human being for ex

Living by faith is sometimes the only way to make it through the next hour.  Living intellectually can often be detrimental when we over think everything.  Living intuitively leads to spontaneity and often a path away from the logical mind, but is it spiritually inspired by God?   When a seed is planted in the ground we have faith it will sprout and grow.   When we are confused in life about decisions or direction, we must have faith that God will provide the needed wisdom to guide us to a path of higher good.  Choose to live your life by Fa

Wolf Painting Progression I continued painting yesterday...and took pictures as I went. The painting has changed quite a bit.  The gallery wanted brown and not white, so this tracks the intensity of painting with the progression shots.  Nothing is done until I feel the entire painting has reached a certain point and I have captured what spirit I am looking for in this wolf painting. It is not done yet, Color overlays must change and shapes have to be adjusted.     ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2012  Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Change "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."  Maria Robinson They reported on the news as we are ending this month that it was nicknamed the month of Junuary... instead of January.  Very little snow in the USA and very little cold weather.  It certainly reminds us of last summer and temperatures

Heck I remember at age 17 he gave me one of those pocket books about achieving the most you can from life. He was way before his times. This was Lady L last year... she has on her bakers hat and is working diligently in her own little kitchen.  This trip to her house she has a new kitchen... got it from Santa.  She served me special tea made with watermelon and ice cream.  Her imagination races with ideas and

They are vulnerable to so many harmful things around them that having a 'visual' on them is a necessity to ensure their safety. Many moms with young ones are near crazy by the end of the day trying to keep up with the busyness of their children. God keeps the same watchful eye through the Spirit placed within us. As adults our lives are busy. Yet no matter what we are never alone. His spirit abides with us at all times, the watchful parent keeping a visual over us.     Knowing God is a partner in life with us each day, makes that day livable.  We are often pulled into rifts and problems; dealing with them depends on our trust in Him that we stay current in the moment with our ey

Not sure where the time has gone. We helped raise him in his younger years until about age 6 or 7. Every Christmas Terry and I love to pull out the family ornaments and reminiscence.   This little snowman was Jonathan's ornament that we kept to remind us of the Christmas' we spent together as family. I will be sharing some of our favorites with you this month.  The small one in back of the snowman is an old family ornament from the Pace household of the 60's.  We still have a box of ornaments missing as well as my Christmas wreath for the front door.
