So I scrap and paint over it or I just layer on top of it. Beginnings are not just beginnings, they are born of endings. When things look bleak, that is when the seed has taken root and while you believe everything around you to be ending or finishing... this 'ending' is giving birth to something new for you. God opens a door ever so slightly... you have to pull all the way open and take the steps to walk out to BEGIN.  Leaving that room is the end and that first step the true beginning. This painting became this painting... OMEGA.   CLICK HERE TO SEE OMEGA and read the rest of the story. Lau

Did you remember to plant the seeds?  When we have the seeds in our hand, we have a responsibility to plant those seeds and take care of them. When you hear the word of the Lord, (seeds) do you plant them and use them in your life sharing them with friends, neighbors and strangers on the road?  Click here to read more Laurie         My Blog    My Website     Giclees on Canvas, Prints and Cards      The Five Graces     The Artis

I still love you. Words of the Heart by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace Remember When? Remember when we first met?  What drew us together as friends? Every friendship goes through a 'disappointment' phase. In fact every relationship does too. It is a season needed to deepen the commitment for an enduring friendship. You must give of your love because it is a natural God given part of you to share with others. Often we go in search of love. We are trying to find that one person that makes us feel loved or feel good about ourselves.  My grandmother likened it to chasing the elusive

God wanted to make sure we heard Him coming.   The marching of the raindrops on the skylights in the den made the arrival of His rain official.  I was in the kitchen making salmon with yams and a fresh relish of red and yellow peppers with onions served on sliced romaine lettuce and a small side of yellow squash.  We topped it off with delicious mango mixed with raisins, nectarines and honey.  I love cooking and watching the rain outside the

The pureness of her unconditional love moves me literally from where ever my mindset is, to a point of pure love affected and conquered by nothing. Those times are few in our lives and we need to nurture more of them. When I taught fourth grade way back in the nineties, I would pick up my class after lunch and we would go back to the classroom to rest. They had gone fr
