Undeniable so, He is the source of all good.  His 'good' moves throughout mankind creating a constant flow of inspiration and creativity which encourages action. Our good is always present despite our worry of finances and the challenge in our economy today. Good is in you and in me.  Affirming it and moving forward in life to share good with others completes the circle... God is good. All the time. In the midst of any circumstance we need only to  affirm our unity with Him to know He will fullfil our every need to prosper.  Our riches are not from our worldly goods...but from our divine Father. Words of the heart, Laurie "And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to h

Progression on Horse Painting Texas Watering Hole by Laurie Pace

Progression on The Watering Hole More horses are beginning to come to life in the piece as I work 24 x 36 inches  Oil on Canvas     ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011 Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie      Where have you been in life? Have you heard someone tell you 'Today is the first day of the rest of your life?" Did you even think about it as "the last day of your old life?" I remember playing this game as a kid and all the different scenarios that were cropping up from losing your job to giving birth to twins.  Talk about uncertainty in your game life.... it was certain to be uncertain.  So I am asking you now, "Where have you been in your real life?" What has made up the best parts of your journey?  ...maybe your wedding day, or how about the day you bought your first car? For some close family members I know they feel the negative things that have

Contemporary Abstract Horse Equine Art Painting Silver's Gang by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Silver's Gang 30 x 40 inches  Oil on Canvas   This was what Brad Bisby calls the 'battlefield'. There are times when you paint you have a set direction. If I showed you where this painting was before I scrapped it twice you would laugh and definitely think it was not related. The spirit of this horse painting gives a strong definition to equine art because of the strength and passion in the 10 layers or more of oil paints. If I tried to paint something like this again... I could not ever get there. That is what makes this horse painting so unique.     ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011    Contact me for your own commissioned painting or to purchase this piece: Laurie       It is called Silver's Gang because the horses in the painting are the five horses from the Lone Ranger and Tonto when they were together. Do you keep a prayer list? Is it filled with prayer requests for friends and family? You might have some things on there tha

Abstract Horse Canvas Changes by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Changes on the Canvas SOLD for DP but actually non existent. What happens on a canvas when it does not feel right to me as the artist? I scrap it, repaint, re-layer, scrap again and again...  This is a story of becoming... This WAS  Moonlight Madness... but it is not more.  Stay tuned for tomorrow to see where it goes to.     ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      Trapped Inside Yourself There was a darkness outside the door this morning when I walked the dogs out. Hidden between the leaves of the trees I caught a glimpse of the brilliant glow of the moon, but I could not see much because the moon was blocked by the thick forest we live in. A cool breeze began with the moving cold front reaching the lake this morning. Change was in the darkness.  Is there growth in darkness? Pausing under the tree was like disappearing from the earth or from life, abandoning touch with real

Horse Painting Reflections of Glory by A Texas Artist Laurie Pace

Reflections of Glory 18 x 27 inches Oil on Canvas The Original Horse Painting is SOLD, but prints are available on  Fine Art America. This horse painting was one of my most popular paintings. The original was painted in 2007 and sold the first day I had it on the blog. Contrasting color palette and the reflective water brought intensity and dissonance to what would normally be a quiet moment of a  horse drinking water. ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011  Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie   Choices in Life... What do I do now? Making decisions in life is often not only challenging but can be overwhelming as well. Looking back at life there can be questions as to some of those choices. Bad decisions from the past are mistakes we must make amends for within our minds as well as with those that were affected by them. It is not possible to move forward until you can forgive and ask for forgiveness.  How does on

Summer Memories I have been reading the book Anxious for Nothing by John MacArthur. It seems to be the book of travel as it was in my bags from our last trip a week ago.  Something stuck in just the first chapter, a conversation the author created between Sherlock Homes and Dr Watson.   Holmes is telling Watson he sees things but does not observe things.  They are in a room they have been in many times together. Holmes asks Watson how many times he has climbed the st

Relaxed. Tired. Ready to sleep. Giving up to the therapists and professionals to remold my body back to its natural state. Started with a pedicure and leg massage, followed by a manicure and arm massage and then an hour of full body massage, reflexology and a head massage.  Somewhere along the line I had to give it up. I had to give up the tension and empty my rocks out of all of my pockets. Giving it up and all

I think not, but we settled on a music piece, which is sad because the horses definitely demand more attention.  So tomorrow I will post the image of the painting I will finish up this morning. Yesterday was prep work on the canvas with the glazes layers of music

Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Blog My Website     Well, I did paint yesterday... I just didn't shoot tight pictures and the painting is too wet to try and shoot until maybe tomorrow. I can't move it yet.  So the day yesterday started out better than I had hoped.  I believe yours can go well today too if you begin to realize God is the source, the only source. If you truly believe in this, there are no limits to what you can overcome in your life or what you can accomplish.  Yes you can get off the treadmill or out of the squirrel cage you are running in circles in. This weekend you can be FAITH IN ACTION. I have to share with you something incredible that happened in the past few days.  It is Faith in Action and trusting the Father to provide.  We received some paperwork concerning the es

(Ben says that all the time..." you can get glad just like you got sad. (or mad)."  You do that by counting your blessings.  Aunt Dorothy (Ben's sister) use to say if she could not sleep at night she would start with the letter A and say a prayer and bless every person she knew with a name that started with A. Then she would move to B and through the alphabet.  She never made it through with out falling asleep. She said often she would start at M and go forward just to cover new territory blessing her friends and family. This might be a good exercise to actually sit down and do to see how many folks you remember that are bl

Laurie   © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting: This is the finish of The First Race of Spring.... brilliant color and lots of action. The Thought:  A hard Days work....my thoughts are here because that is what my dear husband put in yesterday and he was not planning on doing at all what he did.  Early yesterday the Dish TV folks shows up and he hit it right on target for where he moved the pole. The Installer helped clip a few more branches on the trees and presto, an hour later we had TV... first time in over a month. Then Lowe's arrived with the new over the stove microwave and the new dishwasher.  From eleven that morning until nine last night... he worked his fingers numb installing both of these things. He also had to rip out the old things and rebuild part of the cabinets.  There is something special in a hard day of work... the sati

Laurie  © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting:  This is a painting from December.  I am still not up and painting but will be tomorrow. We found all my oils and acrylics.  The Thought:  Today as I did my dinner dishes at the kitchen sink I watched the large yellowy orange orb outside my window sink into the cool waters of Lake Cypress Springs. It was beautiful. Breathlessly beautiful. I ran for the camera but it was further down by the time I found it and whipped it out. I will post pictures tomorrow after TP gets my  big computer hooked up.   We bought the needed supplies to put shelves in the room where I will do computering as compared to the room I paint in.   So much change and I still am reeling in boxes.  Life here is at a slow tempo.  So far everyone is very nice and so helpful.  Our daughter starts school tomorro

Laurie © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 The Painting:   Can't get good color as we have redone the lights in the studio and I could not get a good shot of it.  This one is highly covered in dimensional paint and lots of it. The Thought: Yeah, I slept in a bit and got off to late start.  I sure am glad God does not choose to do that. We would be in trouble if the sun did not rise in the morning or the earth stop spinning.   I noted at night or during the day even, when I am praying with my prayer beads, the first section of seven beads I use as "adoration" and that is where I call to God in His Mightiness in many different names.  Seven each time.  I choose them by the needs in our lives. When Terry was sick the first call was to God the Great Healer, then maybe Praising Him as The Wise Counselor. There are always seven adorations I come up with when co

Added colors of Indian Yellow, Cream, Madder and touches of blues, which are hard to see in this photo... finish it off as a thickly painted oil with ridges of dimension and color. The Thought:  I was back out to Mt Vernon with Deborah Whitington my Realtor.   We visited back at the property we found last Friday to explore the boundary lines of the two lots.  Found out the property owns a large section of the pond and a tiny bit of property across the pond.  The pond is spring fed and feeds down into the lake so there are never flooding issues with the house.  We of course met Sheriff Paul and Vicki for
